Madison-based artist, songwriter, and producer, Kailey Wells released her first extended play titled “Like Lavender” on September 20th. Kailey Wells is aiming to grow as a self-producing artist with her first and it has been a goal of Kailey since she started to create a project and make CDs for her fans. “Like Lavender” consist of four tracks that are self written, recorded, produced and arranged. She recorded and mixed all the four tracks in her studio apartment itself.
One of the tracks, “On My Own”, describes to listeners how she is following her dreams by making all efforts on her own. She lot far from her home city and is doing an exceptional job to pursue her dreams. After releasing two singles prior to the projects release, she was able to put together a full EP.
Kailey has always loved music. In middle school she learned the basics of producing songs with GarageBand on her iPad. After falling in love with music, she moved to Nashville to attend school for audio engineering. As she continues to grow as an artist we can expect more great music to come from Kailey soon!
