Self-confidence and inner beauty are the top goals for aesthetic physician Dr. Amany Sabbagh. As an attending physician and active partner at NuYuMediSpa, she helps her patients feel their best and achieve their beauty goals.“I cater to my patients’ physical beauty, mental health and emotional wellbeing.I shape their features into the best version of themselves keeping true to their identity,” she says. Her influence also extends beyond the clinic to her social media platforms where she is able to educate and empower a wider audience about beauty-related topics, with the goal of countering many of the unrealistic standards promoted online. As a professional specialized in Anti-Aging Medicine her motto is “be your own signature.” Dr. Sabbagh’s mission is always to promote self-love in her patients, while educatingher followers about wellness, balance, and self-compassion.

In her clinic, Dr. Sabbagh treats every patient as a unique case and caters to their individual needs. She strives to shape them into the best version of themselves, staying true to their natural features and authentic identity. “Beauty is being who you are, and all my patients are beautiful. It is my duty to make sure they see this fact,” she says. She is adamant to educate her patients on all procedures so that they understand how it is done and why. Sometimes they even start to share that knowledge outside the clinic. “My proudest moments are when I see my patients educating others,” she says.

Dr. Sabbagh’s journey to become a physician began at the Beirut Arab University where she earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). Due to her financial difficulties at the time, she calls her enrollment a “form of miracle.” She was awarded a scholarship and worked afternoons to earn spending money. Her hard work paid off and she was able to electively rotate at several notable institutions including the Departments of Dermatology at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), the University of Balamand, and Concord Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

Outside of her professional accomplishments, Dr. Sabbagh has also been a long-standing volunteer for foodblessed, a hunger relief and food rescue organization committed to fighting hunger and food waste in Lebanon. For over six years, Dr. Sabbagh has been a dedicated volunteer, giving lectures at universities to raise awareness about food waste, as well as participating in fundraising events for local hunger relief. For the same amount of time she has also served as a Mentor for The Nawaya Network, a program founded in 2012 that works with disadvantaged youth to improve their lives through entrepreneurship and employability programs.

When she is not educating youth and helping her patients improve their confidence, Dr. Sabbagh is an avid reader. Her favorite quote, “There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self”,is by Ernest Hemingway and emphasizes her belief in betterment and self-improvement. In her words, “I yearn to grow into the best version of myself and help others through the same journey.” Her daily schedule always starts with reading in the morning, followed by exercise, and time at the clinic. On the weekends she spends time with her loved ones. “Balance is key and I’m strict about maintaining it,” she says, “I am mindful and fully present, and I enjoy each part of my life and live it to its essence.”Dr. Sabbagh plans to continue educating her growing audience on social media and attending to her patients at the clinic, while promoting self-love and a balanced lifestyle to all.
