Your mind has the power to shape your reality. How you choose to react to a situation not only affects your present but your future as well. Entrepreneur and business coach Sean Whalen shares how to shift your mentality in order to thrive in the long term.

Sean Whalen is a public figure popularly known for his movement and clothing brand Lions Not Sheep, but in recent years Sean has become a recognized leader worldwide in entrepreneurial coaching through his program known as The Lion’s Den. This exclusive coaching group is dedicated to successful business owners from around the globe to help them achieve faster growth, greater profits, and an exceptional quality of life and work.

As a member, these professionals have access to a dedicated mobile app that provides insider access to a private community, exclusive perks, live events, networking, business and investing opportunities, and a level of abundance that is challenging to find anywhere else. Many of the members share that they would not be where they are today without the Lion’s Den, and that they wished they would have discovered it years ago.

He may be a successful entrepreneur and widely known today, but Sean Whalen shares that he was not successful from the beginning. In fact, in the 2008 recession, he lost his home, cars, marriage, and had to lay off his employees at his real estate company. The thought of starting all over again didn’t settle well with Sean, and he found himself struggling with depression. He felt like the world would be a better place without him.

It was then he decided to seek help and reached out to a friend who had experienced a similar situation. This was the start of a new beginning in his life: a fresh start where he was in control of his life, free from physical and emotional stress. Joining a men’s improvement program, Sean changed his mentality, explored his potential, and scaled his businesses.

“You are what you choose to become,” says Sean Whalen. To achieve your dream, you must first change your mentality and approach it from the point of ‘I think I can’.

Additionally, the people you surround yourself with have a huge impact on your success. Critics will always be present; however, it’s best to avoid them and not focus on what they have to say. Surround yourself with like-minded people who support you, notes Sean. It’s also crucial that you believe in yourself so strongly that some might consider it arrogant. You have to have the utmost confidence in your abilities and your persistence.

Coming from a place where showing your weakness and being vulnerable is never acceptable, Sean found a new home where he could be himself and ignore being judged by others. This inspired him to establish the Lions Not Sheep movement and apparel company, and The Lion’s Den coaching group. He is showing the world that you don’t have to always follow what others are doing or saying. You can be unapologetically and authentically you; all you have to do is change your mentality.

Success doesn’t mean sacrificing every aspect of your life. Rather than working hard, choose to work smart, says Sean. It’s essential to note there are certain things money cannot buy: time and health. Therefore, take time to appreciate each moment and take breaks to unwind. When you have a strong mind, you can handle anything thrown at you, and you are also able to make informed decisions.

Success and happiness are closely tied to mentality. Unless your mindset matches your goals, achieving them can be tricky. By choosing to change his mentality and use a different approach, Sean Whalen achieved his dreams, and you can do the same. The Lion’s Den is now helping thousands take charge and become leaders of their own lives.
