Born in Brooklyn New York, Raised in Dublin Ireland, Big Beano (Brandon Igiehon) has travelled across the waters to fulfil his dreams and driven goals. From what we know he has many. At the age of 24, he has been making headway towards being a full-time artist, and his biggest ambition is to tell his story through his music.

Officially starting to release music in 2018 after being motivated by his close friend and artist J-Papi while in college, a collaborative EP was created called Ban From America. Containing 4 songs, the project had made an impact, getting high praise from Beano’s fellow students on campus. ” It was unexpected really not sure how it was going do being that it was made while in n out of class and while at our college apartment but it was good and happy to see people loving it”.

Big Beano had since then continued to release singles showing different styles of melodic flows, lyrical raps and unorthodox sounds on thumping 808’s. “I personally don’t think I have a genre, I make all types of songs and I really want that to be known especially to the audience that enjoys my music.” Big Beano’s First project ‘The Kid of 97’ the mixtape, was released on the 28th of March 2021. “To be honest that process happened quickly. I was going through so much mentally, and a lot of emotions was running through me during that time period, just felt like all I could do was scream out what I held within, musically and ended up making 10 to 15 songs in the space of a month and a half. So I decided to release a tape, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support and belief my friends had in me they see in me what I can’t at times and it’s a blessing.”

The mysterious demeanour of Big Beano is what leaves his listeners surprised “In the future, I want to be able to release something people will not expect I think that what would best define me. I’m at my best when I make music in real-life situations.”  Beano maintains being an athlete also, playing soccer semi-professionally in New York. He says his driven goal is to be the best that he can be as an individual and with his capabilities and to motivate others through his music and creativity.
