It is known to many how the music industry can be a tough environment, facing many rejections and putting music artists in some difficult positions. In fact, it has been suggested that 91% of all music artists are completely undiscovered, demonstrating how tough it can be to find success. Luckydabo$$ who lives in Oklahoma City, has defied those odds, and hopes his story will encourage other music artists to follow in his footsteps.

Luckydabo$$, originally from the Ivory Coast in West Africa, has been performing and acting since he was 7 years old. He even played a few roles in small movies and performed as a music artist on stage. As time went on, he started being pushed by those around him to go online to showcase his musical gift, having originally only been doing it as a hobby. It wasn’t long before he was spotted and signed by Bentley Records in 2019, from there, things took off extremely quickly.

Luckydabo$$ is a unique position to other rappers. He raps in both English and French, allowing him to be a voice for different cultures who he believes are facing different hardships in life. He wants to be a voice for the people and tries to demonstrate that with his lyrics. When we asked what the key to his success he is simply answered, “I live my life trying to be creative every day since this life is just a journey, one day it will all just be a memory”. Luckydabo$$ believes music has always been a part of his life because “life itself is also music”.

When asks what tips he would give to aspiring artists, he says “everyone was born alone, keep things to yourself in life”. He believes you should only share your concerns with those you truly trust. Finally, he said that at some point life will hit you when you don’t expect it to, and insists you must remain positive and fight on, believing that one day everyone will be able to tell their story with a smile.

Luckydabo$$ (@luckydaboss1) is thankful to have the opportunity to share his story with the world, hoping it will inspire those with a dream in the music industry to follow it.
