Serial Entrepreneur Shifts Focus to Philanthropy

Serial entrepreneurs are seemingly unstoppable once they develop a vision and gain momentum.  Luke Battiloro is no exception. Battiloro is the founder of a new, prosperous spirit company, Vavoom Vodka. Vavoom is his current business focus, but it is not his first and will not be his last. Now, he is shifting his attention to philanthropic projects.

Battiloro was already an entrepreneur before diving into the alcohol industry. He was a business consultant working with various companies, where he offered services primarily in Internet marketing, but also assisted with production, customer service, and human resources. His goal with each company was to increase sales using their websites.

Battiloro’s own highly successful company focused on Internet marketing, selling CBD and dietary supplements on a large scale. Through this venture, he became an expert on the ins and outs website design, SEO, iOS app development, Shopify, Google analytics, social media, digital advertising, and more. Before some of these resources were available, he even built his own CRM software from scratch to service his merchant processing company. Battiloro’s knowledge and proven success qualified him to consult other major companies.

His past business experiences prepared him to start Vavoom Vodka. Battiloro came up with the idea for a unique, handcrafted piece of art as a bottle, and a delicious, premium spirit to match. With his online marketing knowledge, he decided to launch Vavoom exclusively online, a move that soon led the industry. Shortly after, the pandemic forced the entire industry to consider online sales, but Vavoom was already light-years ahead.

Along his professional journey, Battiloro was drawn to the medical industry. He currently works with a pharmaceutical company that produces inter-oral delivery of substances. In addition, he recently completed his own formula for an anti-opioid supplement that could substitute the commonly used drug, Suboxone. While Battiloro’s businesses have been financially rewarding, he plans to give this product away in hopes that companies will produce it to help more people. Battiloro believes his supplement has the potential of saving hundreds of thousands of lives.

This isn’t the only area where Battiloro shows his heart for helping people. Battiloro is also involved in an organization called The Other Side Academy, which was founded by a close friend. The academy creates opportunities for people who are facing prison. As an alternative, it teaches them values and useful life skills and allows them to find ways to apply these in real life. Battiloro is in charge of the foundation’s online outreach program, where he recruits new students through Facebook and Instagram marketing.

I Choose to Live is Battiloro’s own non-profit, which he started in honor of a close friend who battled cancer. The organization aims to relieve financial burdens that many cancer patients carry, including medical bills, mortgage payments, car payments, debts, and other day-to-day expenses. Outside stressors can directly impact a patient’s ability to fight cancer, especially in how their body accepts treatment. I Choose to Live also sells shirts as a fundraiser.  The shirts are intended for friends and family to show emotional support for loved ones.

Battiloro says, “It is critical to give people with cancer a fair fight for their lives.” He adds, “To do this, the foundation is set up to reach out to cancer patients and fund their bills, ultimately relieving stress. It is also proven that showing emotional support can increase the immune system and its ability to fight cancer.”

Even in his for-profit business, Vavoom Vodka, Battiloro makes sure to create ways to give back. The Vavoom Fund is integrated into the shopper’s experience at the shopping cart. Customers can choose to donate $2.00 once they have read about the company’s current non-profit partner and supporting cause. As a gesture of gratitude, they will receive ten percent off of their purchase from Vavoom.

With Battiloro’s history, it is obvious that he will not stop here. There is more to come from the serial entrepreneur and philanthropist as he continues to pursue his passions in creativity, technology, medicine, and more.
