WHO declared Coronavirus, or the COVID-19 as a global pandemic. It originated in China and has now traveled across the world. Now the US and Italy are the most affected places in the world. There is no cure for coronavirus yet. The only way to be safe is to wash hands regularly and stay in isolation.

That’s why governments have declared lockdowns in several countries. Staying at home means saving lives, one prevents spreading the virus if infected, or stops getting the virus. In such situations, telemedicine is pretty helpful. It means that the patients don’t need to visit doctors or the hospitals, video conferences, or calls are going to be the new form of treatment.

A popular pain management Doctor in NYC shared that many people have started calling him after the outbreak of corona. And thus the number of people calling is going to increase in the next week.

Video calls among patients and doctors have increased. People don’t want to leave the comfort of their homes and venture outside to get the virus. But the E-Visits are available which help the patients to have a one on one with doctors and let them know about their condition.

Most patients aren’t able to meet their doctors and get refills of their pain medicines. So, with the help of telemedicine, doctors can contact patients regarding their problems and give them a heads up for refills.

Hospitals are not able to handle the huge number of tests and patients of COVID-19. But telemedicine can make it easier. Doctors and patients both benefit from it, and in the meantime, it curbs the spread of COVID-19 as well.
