There is no doubt that what Lebanon is currently experiencing amid the Covid-19 pandemic and the aggravated economic crisis has put residents in a state of self-reflection and confrontation, especially during the quarantine period. This led to people fearfully asking themselves ‘how will we face and overcome these setbacks in order to achieve our goals?’

A substantially larger number of people have been seeking help from a Life Coach due to post-pandemic anxiety, and the fear of returning back to regular pre-pandemic life. Living in a state of isolation leads to the externalization of issues that one has never realized leaving people in a state of contemplation about their lives and their futures.

A life coach is a type of wellness professional that helps people in making progress in their lives in order to attain a greater sense of fulfillment. The core pillar of such mechanism is the creation of strategies that help improve personal and professional life.

Zeina Ahmed Al Zein is the current ambassador of the International Academy of Personal Development (IAPD), a certified relationship coach, and NLP practitioner. Zeina found herself realizing that life coaching is her mission in life. “I feel that Life Coaching has chosen me to be in such a fundamental field for healing, empowerment, and productivity overall.”

Zeina believes that “we have all experienced events that lead us to our intended destination in life, and because we have all had similar experiences, we have acquired the necessary tools in order to help and guide one another.” Such scientific approach is one of many strengths of Zeina’s practice.

Zeina doesn’t consider Life Coaching as a profession, but a message that strongly expresses her belief in enlightenment. She strongly believes that: “Life Coaching helps you plan your life and future in an advantageous way, if you find yourself facing obstacles that prevent you from obtaining your goals. Seeking help from a Life Coach will help you in overcoming these difficulties.”

Furthermore, Zeina believes that Life Coaching helps us know what our mission, values and future prospects are, in order to be able to confidently build healthy relationships and lead a productive and prosperous life. “It helps us eliminate everything in our lives that prevent us from achieving our goals and prevent us from reaching true self-love and clarity that we were instinctually born with.”

People from all generations seek Zeina’s guidance; from teenagers to people well into their forties.

Zeina further explains: “It is my job to extract the treasure from within each person coming to me, to show it to them, and accompany these people on a path to reach a desired goal. It is the sense of fulfillment that sparts each stage of this journey.”

This work is not strictly limited to an individual singularity, Zeina also helps bridging the gaps between family members, friendships, and interpersonal relationships, including spousal and parental issues.

The goal is to help people create successful relationships in their lives, to begin forgiving themselves for their faults, and loving themselves unconditionally. Zaina’s work scope is defined by eradicating all negative thoughts that dominate certain aspects of our lives and prevent us from achieving our full potential. She advocated for a message of love, peace, certainty, and security.

People need to seek out a life coach the most during the pandemic especially due to the quarantine period.

Zeina Ahmed Al Zein says: “During quarantine people were pushed to face hidden aspects of their personalities. Sometimes that confrontation led to beautiful revelations, other times it brought out internalized pain and suffering.” Zeina adds that “What happened caused people to come face to face with anger, fears, nostalgia, guilt, anxiety, and childhood trauma”, things that were pushed to the side in the past because we were too preoccupied with our busy outside lives.

Zeina stresses that “a large percentage of people have fully recovered and gained the needed confidence to go after their goals and reach their desired life destination, not only in Lebanon, but also on an Arab level and also on a global scale. People face many situations in life that forces them out of their comfort zone, here they begin to have the choice either to step out of their bubble and face difficulties head on, or shy away in fear of the unknown.

The choices we are able to make today were not an option to us in the past. The world is constantly developing causing more awareness and knowledge, therefore our exchange of wisdom helps us reach true clarity and healing.
