Our world is embarking on a changing era of social movements. Movements that passionately change the way we live, connect, and inspire have the propensity to change humanity. These movements are forever ingrained in our minds simply by being captured through the lens of media.
Today, entertainment is the bedrock challenging our views and allowing viewers to audaciously question their own beliefs while remaining inspired. This is the quintessential goal of The Social Movement (TSM), a new docuseries created by entrepreneur, executive producer, and artistic genius, Chris LaVoie.
LaVoie states, “I recruited key playmakers from across the globe that shared the same values to help carry this important work into the future. I adore these beautiful minds. The next step was to engineer a process where the businesses created on set could gain funding.”
TSM is calling upon innovative entrepreneurs, visionaries, and investors to solve social issues impacting humanity. Each team has four days to engineer viable business solutions to these issues which include, racism, cyberbullying, mental health, and by far the biggest global health crisis to date, ‘Four Days to Prevent a Pandemic.’ The entrepreneurs will be joined by students from The Knowledge Society, an organization that trains kids to impact billions through innovation.
The series will headline Amy Purdy, American actress, model, para-snowboarder, 2018 Paralympics silver medalist, and co-founder of Adaptive Action Sports. Vishen Lakhiani, Malaysian-born entrepreneur, author of The Code of The Extraordinary Mind and The Buddha & The Badass, co-founder of Mindvalley, and motivational speaker of Indian descent who will mentor the teams and audience.
Viewers will have the opportunity to not only watch these daring missions unfold but they will have the chance to invest in the life-changing businesses created by these teams. Unlike most hit TV series where the audience downloads the show’s app and votes for their favorite person, (i.e. singer) to win while the others lose, in TSM, every business has the potential to gain funding. The power is truly with the people. The audience votes by investing in their favorite team and social issue business solutions. This is possible because we first leverage this TV series as an asset to gain the funding (known as TSM Global Innovation Fund) to help solve the world’s most pressing social issues. This is why TSM is the most important TV series ever created.
