Instagram is probably the most popular social network platform among travellers and travel lovers. There are too many accounts to follow if you are interested in travelling. Some pages are related to wonderful places; some are personal blogs of well-known travellers, and so on. In case you would like to create your own Instagram travel blog, you can simply start by sharing a post of your travel to the neighbourhood, maybe to other small towns near you, maybe a street in the city you live in. Moreover, you can travel to other countries and by travelling, share your experiences on your Instagram account. To make your trip more comfortable and smooth, you should read more of travel blogs beforehand so that you can know more of travel tips and use them in your trip. You can find some here: Pickvisa.com Travel Blog
You can follow an Instagram blog of some travel addict. Nicely arranged bedsheets of the five-star hotels, the every morning latte macchiato, or the lovely pet, everything is forgotten when it comes to travel pictures. More and more Instagrammers are posting first-class photos of white sandy beaches, hidden corners in the rainforest, or the hustle and bustle of distant oriental markets, and which are getting more and more followers excited. Why should 100,000+ follow a total stranger go on vacation, enthusiastically like the pictures, and wait eagerly to see when the next picture with huge envy potential appears in the Instagram timeline? Quite simply because the pictures are beautiful and distract you from the fact that it is pouring rain in front of the window or that the few vacation days are unfortunately not enough to travel through the tea plantations of India for three weeks. And it is something else when there is a likeable person behind the picture who shares the trip with you, and it is not from some travel company. Because in the best case there is a great travel blog with the collection of theses breathtaking pictures on Instagram, in which you can follow the travel adventures to have the feeling of having ridden the back of an elephant yourself.
Of many travellers on Instagram, I choose the best blogsters to follow for making your daily life on social media more interesting and inspire you to travel. Here we go:
Andrew Evans, @wheresandrew – 61.9k followers
Andrew was a huge inspiration to many. His “Bus2Antarctica” project for National Geographic is legendary, and he is a big one at storytelling. The photos on his account may not be as high-quality as those on others, but they always tell a story. He also likes to show attention to detail and take photos of things that you sometimes only notice at second glance.
Kristin Addis, @bemytravelmuse – 124k followers
A Kirsten from America owns the next travel account in our list. She shows how multifaceted our mother nature is. The young American lady posts on her Instagram account the wonderful pictures from Ireland, the United States, Hawaii, Argentina, or Chile. Take a piece of paper and a pen, because you will definitely discover your next vacation destination on Kirsten’s account.
Selena Taylor, @finduslost – 172k followers
Selena is not one of the most famous big names in the Instagram world. Nevertheless, I find something in her photos that many others do not have: the capture of specific moments in which one can empathize particularly well. She is particularly good at giving every moment with the help of emotions.
Gary Arndt, @everythinheverwhere – 192k followers
Gary is one of the, if not the best-known travel bloggers in the world. Gary always has his home with him because he has continuously been on the move since 2007. Respect! I could not do it! He often posts live from where he is right now, but otherwise, he shows us his most beautiful travel photos on his account, which are, let us say, very colourful.
Holly Johnson, @missholldoll – 298k followers
Holly’s life is a hiking trip in the most real sense of the word. She loves hiking and mountains. In her Instagram feed, you can follow Holly on remote threads through pristine forests, lakes, and mountain peaks. You can quickly see that luxury plays a subordinate role for her. She lives out of her backpack and tent, so her photos always make you want to go on the next hiking tour.
Tiffany Nguyen, @tiffpenguin – 356k followers
Tiffany loves playing with colours. As a dentist in Los Angeles, travelling is “just” her hobby, and her pictures make every amateur photographer jealous. With a great mix of adventure and nature, it is always fun to check out her Instagram feed.
Kiersten, @theblondeabroad – 553k followers
Behind @theblondeabroad is the young Californian Kiersten, who gave up her finance job, decided to travel, and went to Africa to take part in a volunteer project. Since then, the pretty blonde has travelled to over 50 countries and lets the whole world follow on her blog and Instagram travel account.
Brooke Saward, @worldwanderlust – 573k followers
“Life out of your luggage” is the motto here. Brooke’s photos are partly spontaneous, partly professional and appear authentic through and through. She has been travelling as a solo traveller for many years and is always inspiring to pick up the travel bag yourself: fashion, lifestyle, cities, buildings, people, and animals. Everything is included with her.
Jess Dales, @jess.wandering – 685k followers
Jess is one of the most famous solo travellers on Instagram. She loves hiking, swimming, diving, mountaineering, discovering nature, and the landscape. She mostly avoids places overrun by tourists – the idyll and harmony with nature are her primary focus.
Louis Cole, @funforlouis – 1.3m followers
As his Instagram name suggests, Louis does what he enjoys. The main thing for him is to spread a good mood. And he shows that with his almost daily recordings from all over the world. Unlike other Instagrammers, he sees himself more as a vlogger, his photos are spontaneous, natural and not staged.
Tara Whiteman, @taramilktea – 1.3m followers
While Tara travels the world like everyone else, her focus is on fashion, colours, and lifestyle. Nothing is left to chance with her, the outfit always goes perfectly with the background, no matter where she is. What seems too artificial for some is a little work of art with pictures.
Emilie Ristevski, @helloemilie – 1.3m followers
The Instagram travel account @helloemilie belongs to the Australian Emilie Ristevski. She is a photographer who shares the best travel pictures with a touch of nostalgia and romance. If you look at Emilie’s photos, you fall into a wonderful daydream that is warm and exciting – try it for yourself!
Mustafa Seven, @mustafaseven – 1.7m followers
Mustafa Seven is one of the great blogsters on Instagram, but I even like his second account @ faces.of.the.earth as well, because I am a big fan of portrait photography. While Mustafa takes us around the world on his main account, he shows great black and white photos of the faces of the people he meets on his travels.
Alex Strohl, @alexstrohl – 2m followers
Alex takes incredibly beautiful landscape shots that always immediately make your dream of adventure and the big wide world. What I particularly like about his pictures is the calm and loneliness they radiate, as if you had the world all to yourself for a moment.
Loki the Wolfdog, @loki – 2m followers
Loki is a husky/arctic wolf/malamute mixed breed who travels around the world with his master, Kelly Lund. Loki is always in the foreground. The pictures of Loki and Kelly document a wonderful friendship between humans and animals. “Why is it so much fun to watch dogs just be dogs?” Says Kelly. You don’t even have to be a dog lover to become a fan of the two.
Lauren Bullen, @gypsea_lust – 2.1m followers
Couples know Lauren well. With Lauren, you see one of the best and most famous Instagram travel blogger couple. In her photos, fashion comes to the fore again – whereby the couple’s outfits are always coordinated.
Jack Morris, @doyoutravel – 2.7m followers
Jack has been a blogger for many years while being a talented photographer sharing his travels on Instagram. He skilfully brings lifestyle and the world’s travel hotspots together in his pictures. When he got together with blogger Lauren Bullen a few years ago, their paths also crossed on Instagram. Now you can see her trips from two sides.
Murad Osmann, @muradosman – 3.9m followers
Murad Osmann and his wife Nataly Osmann are a couple of travellers on Instagram. The couple has become very famous through a very specific posing technique and now the world-famous concept – “Follow me to”. The journey of the pretty Russian woman and the Turkish photographer began 5 years ago in Barcelona when Nataly pulled Murad by the hand, and Murad pressed the shutter release at the right moment. This is how it came about, the famous rearview, aka holding hands pose. The two create images that are imitated all over the world.
Paul Nicklen, @paulnicklen – 5.6m followers
Paul Nicklen is not exactly a travel photographer but is best known for his breathtaking shots of wildlife and nature in arctic circles. As a photographer for National Geographics, Paul shows the world and wilderness from a side that very few people ever see.
The last travel influencer that is not famous as above-mentioned ones, but I enjoy his photos and stories is Baba Aghayev, @baba.aghayev. He has been all over the world and shares cool stories from different countries.
