There are rare instances in your life when you gather the courage to face the challenges of life with the ultimate confidence and achieve what you could never have imagined through your resilience. As Sope Agbelusi said, “Remember diamonds are created under pressure so hold on, it may be your time to shine soon.”
Peter Sage is a personal development coach, serial entrepreneur, and mentor who travels the world giving thought-provoking speeches, raising global consciousness. He has been a multiple TEDx speaker and an accomplished athlete. At 18, he wrote his first book Supreme Physique, which was related to health and fitness. He has completed many Marathons including one of the most gruelling, the infamous Marathon Des Sable. He is a man of tough spirit and has been a long-standing member of the infamous Dangerous Sports Club.
Peter is the author of the award winning and best-selling book The Inside Track: An Inspirational Guide To Conquering Adversity. Peter shares, “The book was never meant to be a book; it was a collection of the eleven private letters that I wrote to my senior coaching students while I was in jail. I NEVER saw that coming, talk about bends in the river of life.”
Life was smooth sailing for Peter and he had attained success as an entrepreneur and a personal development coach until he got involved in a controversy with the Hewlett Packard Enterprise. The company issued a contempt of court application claiming he had breached the terms of their order. It landed him in jail as the only non-criminal among 1300 inmates where he served six months in one of the UK’s toughest and most vicious prisons. What happened next has been hailed as a master class in handling adversity.
The book is a treasure trove of tools and techniques that he used to not only cope with the ordeal but thrive as a ‘secret agent of positive change’. He shares all the tactics on how to stay composed and positive during the bleak periods of life and that allow anyone to turn adversities into accomplishments. It is not a theory. The incident caused Peter’s career to crash to a halt. His seminars were canceled, workshops were scrapped, and his businesses were all but destroyed along with his freedom. It was undoubtedly the most disastrous phase of his life.
However, he used his jail time to help change a broken prison system and help people get off drugs, stop suicides and teach inmates how to think positively. Once out of jail, his letters were published as the book The Inside Track which has gone on to transform thousands of lives for both prisoners of state and prisoners of mind.
