Every boy has at least one car that is their absolute favourite even if they aren’t into cars. To put it simply, give a man a car and he will care for it like it’s a child. Avi Mittal is one of those people who has extreme love for cars and has had a variety of them over the years.
In the last 15 years, Avi’s journey as a car enthusiast has been tremendous. From owning a Ford Escort to owning Porsche’s and Audis, he has come a long way and it’s his love for cars continues to grow. Avi believes that cars are a man’s best friend and goes in depth about the fleet of cars he owns, starting all the way back to his first car.
“As they say, boys love their toys, when I was growing up, I couldn’t wait to turn 18 for the simple reason that I wanted to have my first car. There were a lot of elder guys in my locality who had these crazy cars with customisations and modifications and it always caught my fancy. Even my father was a big fan of owning cars and would import them. My first car was a handout from my father which was a Ford Escort.
“I remember it was a maroon coloured car and I painted it black and added all sorts of stuff to it like neon lights. It was a diesel car so it wasn’t a fast car. After I learned to drive properly, my father for me a Honda city with a 1.5 litre engine which I used to take part in official speed races that used to happen back then. Following a few unfortunate events my father got me a diesel car so I wouldn’t race again, it was a Škoda Octavia. My first big car was a Mercedes C class which was a gift from my grand father, it was a great car, I used it and cherished it a lot.”
He continues, “After that I got into business and eventually bought my first car which was an Audi A6 and after that there was no looking back. There were many cars after that including a Q5 and now my Porsche is on the way.”
