Simo Benbachir, the only Moroccan TV reporter in Hollywood, joined Lulu 17 Entertainment (the organizer of the Lebanese superstar Ragheb Alama in Los Angeles) on stage to broadcast online Ragheb’s third event in the US after performing in Texas and Orlando.
Lebanese superstar Ragheb Alama performed a variety of his classic and modern songs in the presence of many Arab communities and Arab American stars based in L.Including Massari and Waheeb Nasan (who performed one of his hits).
Simo Benbachir, who interviewed Hollywood’s cream of the crop and is still to date the only Moroccan TV reporter to cover the Oscars and many other prominent Hollywood events, posted an endless number of stories from Ragheb’s show during the event and 24 hours after. His stories created a massive buzz in Morocco, North Africa, and the Middle East. Thousands of Ragheb Alama’s fans could watch him on stage in the international capital of entertainment: Hollywood. Ragheb also performed his latest song live, “Momken Azaalak” (“I Can Upset You”).
Simo Benbachir received a round of applause from the audience when Lebanese TV host Imad Hawari gave him a shoutout on stage before introducing the show’s first act.
Simo thanked all the members of Lulu 17 Entertainment, a group created to bring the best live entertainment experiences from all over the Middle East to the USA, for their VIP invitation and professionalism, especially Khalid Satary and his son Jordan A. Satary. “Simply put, we aim to host amazing events and provide talent with the representation they deserve,” as described on their website.
His stories also showed another guest of honor, Algerian American photographer Sami Khantache. Based in Los Angeles, the medium of photography has always fascinated him, and his goal is to capture the essence of the subject he is photographing.
In a phone call with The American Reporter, Simo stated, “I was so happy to see Ragheb again, but this time in Hollywood after interviewing him in Mazagan, Morocco 10 years ago.”
