No one ever succeeds by working for profit alone. Building communities are important in any business because they provide a space for people to share their ideas, give and receive feedback, and build relationships to help each other succeed.
By creating an environment that encourages community, businesses are able to foster loyalty among customers and employees. This can help them create a strong brand identity while also encouraging word-of mouth marketing for their products and services.
Lorenzo Green has built a thriving career on this concept, having co-founded 7-multi-million businesses and hosted some of the largest marketing conferences in the world. “Nearly every business I’ve built has had a community element to them,” says Green. As an entrepreneur, he’s found that creating and nurturing a sense of community among customers and clients is essential for success.
From a young age, it was clear that Lorenzo’s destiny would be in the digital industry. He started working as a freelance graphic design jobs online at 16 years old, and eventually explored other fields in domain, SEO and Google Adwords. His passion grew stronger as he realized how big the opportunities are for his skills.
After graduating with a degree in e-commerce and digital media design, he launched his digital marketing career. He started a digital marketing forum with two other partners and ended up becoming one of the largest paid digital marketing forums. The conferences became an international success and were held around the world from Europe, North America and Asia.
The year 2020 was a time of great uncertainty for Green. The pandemic hit and wiped out his entire conference schedule for the year. As a risk-taker, Green saw this as an opportunity for them to pivot to virtual conferences. Despite being a huge gamble, it turned out to be such a huge success with 50,000 people in attendance.
They say the best way to learn is by doing, and Lorenzo has done a lot of things. He’s built 7 multi-million dollar companies that all have communities at their core. He’s also hosted some of the largest digital marketing conferences in the world. He is the perfect example of how online communities can be leveraged to grow an audience and create a successful business.
