One of the biggest automobile companies, Ford, is going to manufacture 50,000 Mustang Mach-Es cars across the world in the first full year of production. The news about the production of the cars came from L.A. where Ford’s president of automotive, Joe Hinrichs made a statement.
He said that the company is going to manufacture 50,000 Mustang Mach-Es cars and the production of the cars would not be higher than this number due to limited batteries available.
The target of manufacturing 50,000 cars is not easy to achieve as compared to the other electric vehicles. It is difficult to predict how many Model 3s were sold this year but they could be around a couple of hundred thousand in 2019 so far. According to the Ford Vin Decoder, Ford’s target to build Mustang Mach-Es cars is looking different from the Model 3s’ continued sales success.
It could be compared to the rest of the EV market. Nissan sold over 30,000 vehicles in its best years while Chevrolet Bolt EV experienced over 20,000 units sale in its best year. Both these cars could not be compared to the Mustang Mach-E because they are not anywhere near to Model 3.
It will be interesting to watch, whether Ford could sell more than 50,000 Mach-Es in a year or not. The production for the Mach-Es cars will start in the next year sometime and the cars would be available at the dealers in late 2020.
Ford’ GTs would be available after spring 2021. The company is expecting that the Mustang Mach-E would be able to fulfill the expectations of the customers.
