The West Virginia Lottery offers an array of online Lottery games, each with specific features, varying jackpot sizes, and different odds.

Suppose you enjoy the possibility of large, multi-state jackpots like the West Virginia Lottery POWERBALL jackpot and MEGA MILLIONS, for example, or prefer options with smaller payouts and potentially better chances. In that case, there’s a game suited to many different preferences.

Here’s an overview of popular iLottery games in West Virginia, which may help you choose the game that best suits your playing style.

1. POWERBALL©

POWERBALL© stands out as a popular Lottery choice across the United States due to its growing jackpots, which can increase significantly before being won. Drawings take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, giving you three opportunities to try your chances each week.

In POWERBALL©, you can pick five numbers from one to 69 and one POWERBALL© number from one to 26. There’s also a Power Play feature, which can increase non-jackpot prizes by a multiplier. POWERBALL© jackpots start at $20 million and continue to rise until a winner is determined. However, it’s worth noting that Lotteries are games of chance and a win is never guaranteed.

2. MEGA MILLIONS

MEGA MILLIONS®, similar to POWERBALL©, is widely recognised for its large jackpot offerings and multi-state reach.

Drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday evenings. In MEGA MILLIONS®, you have the option to select five numbers from one to 70 and a Mega Ball number from one to 25.

A Megaplier feature can also be added, increasing non-jackpot winnings by up to five times. Starting at $20 million, the jackpot can roll over each draw and continue to grow.

3. LOTTO AMERICA©

LOTTO AMERICA© is an alternative to larger multi-state Lotteries. Because it operates in a smaller area, it offers better odds than POWERBALL© or MEGA MILLIONS® and occasionally reaches jackpots in the tens of millions.

Drawings are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and to play, you have to choose five numbers from one to 52 and one Star Ball number from one to 10. The game includes an All-Star Bonus feature, which can multiply non-jackpot prizes.

LOTTO AMERICA© balances moderate jackpot sizes and more accessible odds if you’re looking to try your chances in West Virginia.

4. Ca$h 25

Exclusive to West Virginia, Ca$h 25 is a straightforward game with drawings on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. The top prize is fixed at $25,000. To play, select six numbers from one to 25.

Matching all six numbers in the draw awards the top prize. The fixed payout and frequent drawings make Ca$h 25 a good option if you’re looking to play a game with the potential for more consistent prize opportunities.

5. KENO GO

KENO GO provides fast-paced gameplay, with draws occurring every three minutes, seven days a week from 5:01 AM to 3:46 AM. You can choose between one and 10 numbers (known as spots) from a pool of one to 80.

Payouts vary based on how many numbers you pick and match, offering flexible playing options to suit your style and budget.

6. Daily 3 and Daily 4

Daily 3 and Daily 4 games have drawings every day, allowing you to select either three or four numbers, respectively. In Daily 3, you pick a three-digit number, and Daily 4, a four-digit number.

These games feature various play styles, such as exact order (matching numbers in a precise sequence) or any order (matching numbers in any sequence), making these games of chance suitable if you’re looking for straightforward daily games.

Choosing the right game for you
Selecting the most suitable iLottery game depends on your preferences and budget:

  • For higher stakes: If you’re drawn to larger potential payouts, games like POWERBALL© and Mega Millions may be your preferred choice.
  • For better odds: Games such as LOTTO AMERICA© or Ca$h 25 offer smaller jackpots but often provide more favorable odds.
  • For quick gameplay: If you prefer rapid gameplay, KENO GO’s frequent draws might be a good choice for you.
  • For straightforward daily games: Daily 3 and Daily 4 may be the best options if you want more straightforward, daily play options.

Each game in the West Virginia Lottery offers unique features that appeal to various interests and playing styles. Play responsibly, keeping in mind that each game involves chance.
