No one ever said that life would always be about happiness and sunshine. People across the world face innumerable challenges and hurdles in life; some lose hope, while some others keep walking their path in the hope to see sunshine again. Being in the latter category can get all the more challenging, as it may test a person’s patience, but all those who go ahead in earning a noteworthy position in their careers are the ones who stand strong in the face of adversities and give a punch back at them with their perseverance, grit and courageousness. Willie C. Ruffin Jr, aka CashMob YP, is all about this and much more.
Ask him what drove him towards the world of music and the 23-year-old musical talent says, “My strong resolve to come out of my depression and many other problems that tried to stop my growth. Music was where I found my peace and knew that was something I wanted to do all my life.” Talking about his early life, CashMob YP says he was born in Meridian, Mississippi and raised in Butler, Alabama, in a small town called Cromwell. He began making music at the age of 12 and only started to take it seriously at 16.
CashMob YP reveals how he dealt with depression and other problems that he needed an outlet to express his deepest feelings, and music gave him that outlet. He turned his pain into a passion for music and that’s how he became the R&B and hip hop recording artist he is today. His most successful track, “We The Mob”, produced by NFL BigBoyy, is also his favourite. The ones who inspired CashMob YP the most were Bobby King and Willie C. Ruffin Sr.
The unique sound and unparalleled vibe he has created through his songs is something that has touched the heartstrings of listeners and his fans. This year, his songs No Comin Bacc and BaCC in Blood Remix released, receiving great acclaim and love from listeners.
There is no looking back for CashMob YP and he is also quite excited for the upcoming years to drop more of his songs and work on great projects. To find out more, follow him on Instagram @cashmobyp.
