MIAMI, Florida – Public speaker, drug rehabilitation advocate, and accomplished author Eric Spofford is pushing his success further with Spofford Enterprises. Selling Granite Recovery Center in 2021 for a hefty sum, the entrepreneur formed Spofford Enterprises and is now managing a mixed portfolio of multi-family and commercial properties.
Baymark Health Services, the buyer of Granite Recovery Center, is a Texas-based Substance Abuse Disorder Treatment Center. Already holding a presence in New Hampshire, Baymark owns Suboxone as well as several methadone clinics in Hudson, Salem, Newington, and Somersworth.
After making the deal with Baymark, Eric chose to reinvest that capital into booming industries in venture capital while making significant returns through real estate investing. Eric stays humble through these accomplishments, never forgetting that finding success began with finding a greater purpose in working in addiction recovery. “I found my purpose pretty easily, and it was simple to me. It’s definitely not that easy for everyone, and I’m really grateful for having the opportunity with Granite,” Eric explains. “Now, I’m just wanting to keep pushing, I’m not the type of person who likes to stay stagnant.
Finding Initial Success Through Granite Recovery Center
Pulling himself from the depths of addiction, having dropped out of high school by this point, and achieved recovery in 2006 through staunch determination. Fostering his unique perspective as a patient in treatment, Eric applied this knowledge to establishing the systems that would become instrumental in establishing Granite Recovery Center.
At Granite Recovery, Eric showed an awareness of all of the pain and vulnerability that comes with addiction. With an understanding of the situation of a patient in treatment, Spofford gave special attention to the most serious of cases, offering a comprehensive treatment far beyond the bounds of other addiction treatment centers.
In fostering a drive that was mainly propelled by determination and dynamism, Spofford dedicated special attention to the patients at Granite Recovery which culminated in the business becoming the biggest provider of addiction recovery services in New England. After selling Granite in an impressive 9-figure deal with company Baymark, which expanded Granite’s residential treatment facilities.
