Born and raised in Louisville, Colorado, and currently residing in Brighton, businesswoman Shayna Hinz is showing the masses that there are no obstacles that cannot be overcome on the way to entrepreneurial success. At only 19 years old, Shayna is building her business centered around trading and networking, helping to create financial independence for hundreds of people along the way. Today Shayna is here with us to shed some light on her journey of striving for excellence in entrepreneurship and how she continues to achieve milestones of success while navigating the ups and downs of being in business.
Shayna, let’s start at the beginning of your entrepreneurial journey. What first inspired you to become an entrepreneur?
I didn’t like the idea of working for someone else’s dream and I wanted to impact and help more people than I think I ever could at any nine to five job.
Now that you’ve moved on from your nine to five, what have you been working on? Tell us a little bit about the concept of your business that you have today?
So the business has two components: trading and networking. What I do is leverage experts on multiple different financial markets and on network marketing, helping people to become successful in either or both fields. We’re showing people that there are different ways to earn an income outside of a traditional 9-5 job. Really with this business you can make money while you’re sleeping.
That’s amazing, Shayna! How are you helping people through your organization?
Because we leverage these experts and because I have access to all these amazing professionals worldwide, I am able to help people gain more time for themselves to do the things that they truly love, whether it be spending more time with family, enjoying hobbies, traveling or working on other businesses. For people living traditional lives, working a 9-5, maybe supporting a family or children, it can be hard to find time to do what you really enjoy, and creating additional sources of income for oneself can be hard when you’re juggling all these different things. By leveraging these experts with knowledge and experience trading in the financial markets and networking, you’re able to make money in the markets, without having to spend so much time actually watching the markets. So it’s very efficient without being a time consuming thing.
What are some of the goals that you have for your future, for yourself personally and for your business?
The reason why I am so passionate about what I do now is because of my parents. My mom’s a Realtor®, she owns her own group, and my dad is a police officer, so I grew up with a very mature mindset already. I want to give back to them, everything that they’ve so graciously done for me, my entire life.
Business wise, I would love to have a team worldwide with people from all different countries because I know what I have to offer can help so many people, not just in the US, but across the globe.
Getting to this point of success as an entrepreneur must have had its difficulties. What kind of challenges did you face growing up and growing your business?
Growing up one of the biggest challenges that I went through was the loss of my little brother. It affected my family and I very negatively for years. I would say up until recently, I didn’t fully accept what happened. This was 11 years ago, so it took me a very long time to get around to that and come to terms with the loss. But I’m very grateful that I did because the mindset I have now came from all the struggles that I went through in my life.
With my business, I’ve learned that everything happens for a reason. There’s no such thing as coincidences. And I know everything that I went through in life led me to where I am now. So I’m so grateful for not only the good times but the hard times too, because they all brought me to where I am now.
Thank you for sitting down with us today, Shayna, and sharing your inspiring story. In closing can you please give us three pieces of advice that you would offer to an aspiring entrepreneur?
The first thing I’d say to anyone wanting to become an entrepreneur is don’t take advice from people who don’t have the results you want. Look for mentorship and guidance from people who have the things that you want and who have achieved the milestones that you’re looking to achieve for yourself.
My second piece of advice is no matter what, stay consistent, because even when you’re going through hard times, you have to get back up. You have to keep going, because if you stay down after the first time you get knocked down, you’re never going to become the successful entrepreneur that you want to be.
My last piece of advice is to remember to have fun. Have fun with your business, because you don’t want to be someone who is just in your business 24/7 and has no life outside of work. In most cases the whole reason people become entrepreneurs is so that they have the time, freedom and the availability to live their life to the fullest, so take some time to enjoy yourself every now and then. Remember to be grateful for where you are in your journey and appreciate all the hardships and everything you had to go through to get to where you are.
