Life is mysterious, and to detangle its message, we have to create a mindset that allows us to explore the secrets and revelations that lie in it. The people who understand this fact, practice mindfulness and resilience to create a harmony between mind and thoughts, work and life and ascend to their best form.  Pandit Dasa is one of them. He is a keynote speaker who has spent his life most modestly and admiringly.

Pandit Dasa’s story commenced when his parents’ multi-million jewelry store in Los Angeles fell apart during the 1990s and they had to start life all over again. They lived in post-communist Bulgaria to explore new business opportunities and came back to the US, to the East Coast, in 1995. In 1999, Pandit Dasa traveled to India to live in solidarity with the monks. He lived in a monastery in Mumbai with 40 monks, slept on the floor, woke up at 4 a.m., and did meditation for 3 hours. He spent his time pondering about life and serving other monks. Hence leading a life of service, humility, and discipline. Then he came back to New York and spent another 15 years living as a monk. It was seven years ago that he emerged from the life of a monk and now he uses his deep knowledge to share his story, and tips to create a better mindful workspace culture. He shares the best tips to create a positive workplace culture in 2022.

1. Evolve The Space With The Changes

The world is dynamic and each person should evolve with it too. Employees in a workplace need the necessary equipment to keep up with technology while also being connected to the real world. Provide plenty of avenues to achieve their career goals while also contributing to the company’s objective.

In his speeches at Fortune 500s and 100s: Google, NASA, London Stock Exchange, Citi, Chase, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and Boston, IBM, Royal Bank of Canada, Bank of America, Novartis, and Pfizer; Pandit Dasa has always focused on the well-being of employees that directly helps correlates to a positive workplace.

2. Mindful Communication

Communication is the key to success. Creating a mindful workplace starts with people expressing themselves and sharing their thoughts. Be it a formal or informal setting, Pandit Dasa believes that communication leads the way towards a positive space that is not polluted with suppressed emotions and frustrations.

The company should let employees know about the big picture that they tend to achieve with their contribution while the employees should make the company aware of their mission/vision. Every individual, department, and employee should work in sync. Hence, there is harmony and each person appreciates what the other is contributing to the goals.

3. Appreciating Our Colleagues And Workforce

Challenges and problems are an integrated part of work. However, instead of crumbling down in front of the problems, one should face them with courage and bravery. When the employees come up with innovative solutions they should be appreciated and encouraged to take such stances more often. A relationship where the efforts are acknowledged sustains for a lifetime.

Pandit Dasa believes that appreciation harbors the true solutions that serve society and benefits the atmosphere of the workplace.

4. Teamwork Is Smart Work

Pandit Dasa shares that teamwork has the power to accelerate the pace of work, and reduce ambiguity inside the organization. When there is coordination in each task and job, deviations are minimized and there is no need for being reprimanded by superiors.

Everyone should do their work on the timeline and ensure that corrective measures are taken where things go wrong.

Pandit Dasa is a vivid personality who has experienced life most uniquely.  He has also been featured/mentioned in NYTimes, WSJ, PBS, NPR, USA Today, Yahoo, Business Insider, Fox News, for his insights on mindfulness, resilience, teamwork, and leadership.

“I spent 15 years living as a monk, and prior to that, I was a millionaire. Most people haven’t had to experience such extremes in their life.” – Pandit Dasa

His experience as a monk helps him stand out and tell people about the mindfulness and positivity that they can instill in their workplace.

“I love the fact that I get to change hearts, minds, and attitudes about work, people, and life in general. I love helping people see the positive side to the challenges and difficulties.” – Pandit Dasa
