The outbreak of the worldwide pandemic has had a significant impact on not only the working mechanisms of the world but also has tremendously affected the psyche of all the people. The uncertainty, paranoia, and fear compiled with the obvious dread of the virus has left us all succumbing to the deeper darker depths of our mind and body. It is for a fact that the role of Psychologists has increased tenfold in such trying times. One such health worker who has contributed her services for not only the betterment of society but also helped numerous individuals take a grasp on their lives is Kimberly Ms. MTV Bass.

Who is Kimberly Ms. MTV Bass? Before we dive into the depth of her work, let us take a little background detour as to who Kimberly is and how she has become one of the most prominent psychotherapy counselors in the world. She is a former freelance entertainment journalist who turned her life around after witnessing many underground hip-hop artists struggling with mental health issues and addiction. She even worked as a freelance journalist for MTV and several other local publications. During this phase of her life, Kimberly interviewed numerous renowned artists such as Evander Holyfield, Michael Jackson, Z-Ro, Ice Cube, Amy Winehouse, Slim Thug, Snoop Dogg, Trey Songz, Jeezy, and many more. And this is even before she began her college! When asked in an interview, Kimberly stated that she has always been inclined toward psychology and was hesitant to pursue it in her college. She then went on to acquire a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Houston and then a master’s from Liberty University. It was in 2016 that she finally became a fully licensed chemical dependency counselor acquiring her professional counseling certification in 2018.

Initially, Kimberly began working as an English teacher in the Alief ISD school system after her graduation. She was working at an alternative school with at-risk adolescents. It was then she decided to assist youngsters in improving bad situations in their home and school contexts. She left teaching to work as a Case Manager for at-risk adolescents in the foster care system, and soon founded a community-based organization offering in-home care to adults with mental disorders. Later she began working at a drug and alcohol detox treatment hospital as a therapist and even managed residential treatment centers for youths in Texas and Virginia.

Since then, Kimberly has been offering her expertise and services across Texas. Her practice is based on the Biblical teaching of helping people learn how to “fish” rather than giving away. She leverages a vast range of methods to help as many people as possible in increasing their self-awareness which includes multi-modality therapy, prayer, nature, art, crystals, meditation, journaling, healthy diet, exercise, Tibetan bowls, and chants for clarity. In 2021, Kimberly became a private provider of psychotherapy insurance panels offering telehealth counseling services amidst the COVID19 pandemic.

Throughout her career, Kimberly has offered her services to a vast range of clients including the members and their extended family of the Department of Defense, multimillionaire CEOS, and entrepreneurs. Her area of expertise consists of personality disorder, mood disorder, depression, anger management, substance abuse, narcissistic personality disorder, and suicidal ideation to name a few. Currently, Kimberly is working on her fiction book and also planning to open her own residential treatment center for youths and attend the Ph.D. program in professional counseling at Liberty University.

To end it on a lighter note, here’s a trivia about Kimberly, She spiritually married rapper 50 Cent on April 23, 2020, and even goes by the name Mrs. 50 Cent.
