Despite normal thinking that people watch shorter videos, the longer the video the higher they rank in YouTube search results. Make sure the video is 10+ min long. This is one of the easiest way to improve your YouTube rankings.

Self promotion

Posting videos isn’t enough. You have to gain views to make it work. An easy way to channel viewers to your videos is to self promote. At the end of each of your video, provide the link to related videos of yours. This boosts traffic to your channel. And the more video of yours a viewer watches, the higher the chances of him subscribing.

Add subscribe button to your videos

The mantra to keep your channel going is to have loyal viewers. And if you have few loyal subscribers they will always help you promote your videos. Using a branded watermark in your video as a subscribe button is the best way to get viewers to subscribe. Most of the channels use generic subscribe button. And it is best that way because you don’t want to confuse your viewers.

Interact with the viewers

What do you do when someone compliments you? You thank them. It is the same thing in YouTube. When a viewer comments, you must reply. Try to reply to as much as comments as possible. The more you interact with the viewers the more subscribers you get.

Add video links to your blog

People who check out your blog are highly likely to subscribe to your channel. They are on your website for a reason. So if you include links to your video in your blog posts you will get more subscribers to see your videos.

These few tips can help budding youtubers up their game and grow their channel.
