The Italian Painter, Chiara Magni, has always been enthusiastic and thoughtful of different painting styles. The painting that is present at her back in the above picture is “Bright Nature”.

This painting is a milestone!

This is a perfect example of “Bright Expressionism”.

Towards the end of 2020, Chiara felt the need for naming this new style she had just painted.

She always believed herself to be an “impressionist”. But the more she painted, the more she realized she did fall into that category.

Chiara had always wanted to be in full respect of the old masters and didn’t want to pretend she was something that she wasn’t.

She felt the need to find the meeting point between Impressionism and Expressionism with her new painting, and so she coined the name “Bright Expressionism”.

The painting that inspired the concept of Bright Expressionism

BRIGHT EXPRESSIONISM is her own unique style and she hopes it would be of some inspiration for other artists too.

It is a new way of seeing art. Everything goes around emotions instead of perfection and realism. In her paintings, the shapes maybe aren’t perfect, the vanishing points aren’t perfect, and there is no realism at all… But the color wheel is strictly followed and applied with discipline.

Her way of choosing colors is never random. It always comes from a lot of studies and planning.

The texture is another key element of her style.

The more texture she puts on a painting, the more she feels she can show her love to everyone.

Her belief is that in the end, you will be touching the same chunky piece of paint that she has touched and applied, and this to her means a deep spiritual connection between her and you!
