As part of their commitment to donate $1 million annually to help rescue missing children and sexually trafficked teens, USPA Nationwide Security decided to make donations in honor of its clients.
In addition to receiving letters confirming their donations to Kingsman Philanthropic Corp., USPA’s clients received letters from Paris, France to New York City on Friday. In the past year, USPA has initiated a program to donate a substantial portion of its profits from each security operation performed to its charitable efforts.
“As a company, we have been committed from day one to stepping up and combating human trafficking. We are able to direct funds to Kingsman Philanthropic Corp. due to its outstanding clients and events like Art Basel,” explained Dan Manning, the CEO of the firm.
In the course of Miami’s annual Art Basel, North America’s most comprehensive international contemporary art fair, USPA provided security for a number of major events and exhibits earlier this month. According to Brian Fitzgibbons, USPA’s Security Operations lead on the ground, we had more security personnel on the ground than the Miami Beach Police Department had on patrol at one point. As a client of USPA Nationwide Security, Yves Saint Laurent, USPA Nationwide Security supported the largest event of the year. It is estimated that USPA deployed more than 60 security personnel in a two-block area just for that event.
Fitzgibbons, a Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq, is responsible for overseeing USPA’s security operations on Miami Beach.
The security operation involved five separate locations across Miami Beach… multiple clients, multiple locations – all with their own unique challenges. My team was able to operate, move, and communicate with the speed required to keep the exhibits secure and the participants safe with the assistance of the USPA Mobile Command Center,” explained Fitzgibbons.
Besides providing traditional security services to their clients, USPA also offers their elite Titanium Service. Titanium Service protects public figures and A-list celebrities. This elite team was deployed by USPA for Art Basel. We knew that this operation would require a substantial amount of coordination with a number of private security details, given the large number of international celebrities attending Saint Laurent’s event,” stated Dan Manning, USPA’s CEO. The Titanium Service was able to provide direct support to the close protection teams for A-listers such as Madonna, Hailey Bieber and Zoe Kravitz. Mike Edwards, a highly decorated, tier 1 special operations veteran and Silver Star recipient led the Titanium Service alongside Rodney Brown, a veteran of the Navy’s elite SEAL Team 6.
As a result of growing up with an abusive father, Michael Evans, the firm’s founder and former CEO, began USPA’s charitable initiatives in 2005. He founded Kingsman in order to assist battered women free of charge, and the operation has expanded to include kidnapping recovery, missing children’s cases, and human trafficking recovery – all of which are carried out by USPA’s military veterans. Currently, Evans works for the firm he founded, as he was seen guarding Madonna in Miami Beach over the weekend.
A commitment to charitable giving was part of Evans’ agreement with the new CEO in 2021, Dan Manning.
Additionally, USPA has made a donation to Project Exodus Relief, which was started by Mike Edwards in 2021 after the chaotic withdrawal of the United States from Afghanistan. As part of Project Exodus, Edwards is working to evacuate Afghan allies from the nation that is now under the control of the Taliban. “This donation from USPA will help us feed our allies still hiding in Afghanistan who face certain death if captured by the Taliban.”
