British professional tennis player from Scotland is planning to play the 2020 Australian Open after one year of considering retirement from tennis due to a hip injury. Craig Tiley is the director of the Australian Open tournament and he confirmed this news. He said that Murray most probably will return here. He was on the phone with Murray’s agent who told that Andy is going to be in Australia soon.
Andy Murray told reporters before his Australian Open first-round match that when he lost the match against Roberto Bautista Agut in five sets, he became tearful due to the pain caused by his hip injury. He has been struggling with the pain for 20 months.
Murray also told the reporters that he has done a lot to recover and make his hip feel better. He is feeling in a better place as compared to six months ago. Murray is finding Australian Open 2020 a good chance as compared to his last tournament. Earlier he underwent hip resurfacing surgery to get a metal implant. In June of this year, Murray made his return after winning the Queens Club title with Feliciano Lopez.
