It takes a lot of perseverance to survive in the business industry. One’s entrepreneurial journey might take a lot of twists and turns before it can finally settle down into somewhere comfortable and sustainable. Takisha Clark knows this experience very well after going through several tragedies that eventually led her to establish Capital Postal & Mailbox Service, her own postal company that’s open for franchising.
Takisha Clark’s business journey began on her first-ever venture in 2003. When she was 22 years old, she owned a thriving daycare facility. Things were going great; in fact, she was able to purchase three houses when she turned 23 years old. Unfortunately, tragedy struck, and Takisha lost her younger sister in a car accident in 2007.
The tragic incident left Takisha Clark devastated and forced her to close down her daycare facility. For many years, she felt the ripples of the event physically, mentally, and most of all emotionally. She felt depressed and anxious and lost everything in the process. Takisha lost the homes that she bought and became homeless while struggling to get over her younger sister’s passing.
After a year of being homeless, she slowly picked herself back up and decided to look for a job. Eventually, Takisha Clark found a job at a Drug and Alcohol Program where she worked as a program specialist for three years. She started feeling better, and time began to heal the wounds. She realized that her sister would have wanted Takisha to put herself out there once more.
She then established a tax business by buying into a franchise called Liberty Tax Service. Takisha Clark looks back at this particular experience with fondness, citing it as a crucial moment that has allowed her to finally establish her own franchising business under Capital Postal & Mailbox Service.
Once she had acquired all of the necessary knowledge, Takisha Clark established Capital Postal & Mailbox Service, allowing her to franchise the brand by launching it in all other states, except for California. In a surprising turn of events, after facing the struggles she had to face, Takisha has become the first black woman to start a franchise in the shipping and mailbox industry. Her next move is to establish a franchise within California so her brand could serve even more people.
The greatest part about Capital Postal & Mailbox Service is its effort to make its services feel more unique and personal to every client. The company makes sure to listen to their clients and help them with whatever needs and demands. Capital Postal & Mailbox Service offers a variety of unique services, such as shipping, packaging, supplies, mailbox rentals, mail drop-off and pickup, virtual mailbox rentals, live scan, notary, auto-registration, DMV service, courier service, document laminate, passport photos, copies and faxes, document scanning, and full printing services. Their trusted mail carriers are USPS, FedEx, and DHL.
Capital Postal & Mailbox Service is the hard-earned result of all of Takisha Clark’s hard work. After overcoming the tragedies that have plagued her life, she has finally come out fully strong with a company making waves in the industry. In the near future, Takisha aims to push her brand toward becoming a corporate company standing beside UPS and all the big brands out there.
