Popular Realtor Maurice Kirby’s 3 Wake Up Calls To Succeed In Real Estate

Maurice Kirby is one of Tri-Cities’ fastest growing realtors for good reason. He quickly landed success as a real estate agent in just twelve months by always being excited for new real estate opportunities in the Tri-Cities. Furthermore, he’s also always thrilled to meet and interact with new people.

But of course, there’s more to Maurice Kirby’s success story than simply motivating himself as a realtor.  If you’re an aspiring realtor yourself, you may want to know how you can land success in the field of real estate. Here’s how you can achieve the same goals as a realtor using his valuable advice.

Know Your Purpose

Before anything else, you’ve got to know your purpose when you decide to take on a particular career path. Maurice Kirby states that as long as you know your “why,” you have no reason to fail in your career. Sure, you may have a few setbacks in your career, but that shouldn’t hinder you from paving your path to success. By knowing and fully understanding your “why,” you have every reason to keep going and achieve what you desire as a realtor.

Take  Initiative by Talking to People

Most of the time, you won’t immediately find clients while first starting as a realtor. So, how can you rake in more customers? By taking initiative and starting conversations with strangers. It may be uncomfortable at first but you’ll eventually get the hang of it, especially as a real estate agent.

Maurice Kirby initiates conversations with strangers by finding excuses to talk to them. One example he stated in an interview was to look for similar interests between you and a stranger. For instance, he could notice a person’s dirty bikes in a truck, a particular University of Washington t-shirt they’re wearing, a motocross shirt, etc.

That way, you are able to get an excuse to talk to someone and lead the conversation from there. In addition, you could even make yourself a new friend, especially if you’re all alone in a new city. So, although most people tend to keep to themselves, being a great conversation starter will greatly benefit you as a realtor.

Make the Most out of the Opportunities Presented in Front of You

Realtor Maurice Kirby gets honest about how people can easily get blinded by the gold and bling that the area has to offer in a place like Tri-Cities. So, it would not be surprising if you’re distracted by all these shiny things at first. This is why Maurice Kirby highly emphasizes knowing your “why” early on.

After all, if you know why you’re doing something, you won’t lose sight of your goals. With that being said, you can use these excellent opportunities presented and find a way to incorporate them into your career. And if you come from a place with lesser opportunities, you should take it as a sign to work even harder and be thankful that you have the chance to chase after these grander things.

Wrapping Up

By following Maurice Kirby’s tips above, you will surely be on your way to achieving success as a realtor. But just like every start of a career, your path will be full of ups and downs. However, as long as you know your purpose, take the initiative, and take advantage of the opportunities in front of you, you can easily propel your career as a realtor forward.

More importantly, if you remain consistent in all of these aspects, you can definitely achieve greatness as Maurice Kirby did in his first year. Best wishes in your career as a real estate agent!
