The new tax deadline for residents of California is July 15. It applies for both state and federal governments. There are some benefits that Californians can reap. Income tax credit earned by Californians can bring a sigh of relief in several households. It is expected to give up to $6,660 to each family. This applies to a family of five. The income of that family must be up to $56,844. This has been stated by the IRS.
Franchise tax board has given some data on the actual relief. For California, the lower max income that will qualify for credits is $30,000. This qualifies a family with children to get an added amount of $2,982 on their checks. The IRS has promised a $1200 fund as economic stimulus to Californians. According to reports, millions of Californians fall in this category. With this Californians could benefit with thousands of dollars.

Golden State Opportunity has been communicating with over 1 million taxpayers from California who could avail this facility. They are spreading awareness to people who have no clue about this scheme. They are filing taxes for the citizens without any charge. They are also helping them sign up for other state run services. One such service is the food program CalFresh.
The president of Golden State Opportunity, Amy Everitt feels that with economic stimulus by the federal government and two income tax credits, Californians can benefit greatly. Federal government has been giving Coronavirus relief checks for the citizens.
This campaign coincides with what is Tax Day. More than 2 million people claimed California Earned Income Tax Credit in 2019. A total of $395 million was claimed through it. Golden State Opportunity feels that this time it could be more due to Governor Gavin Newsom’s expanding of the program. They feel that this time a collective amount of $1 billion could be received.
