In today’s world, social media drives opinions and makes or breaks someone’s fate. No one knows that better than Jordan Lintz, a 23-year-old entrepreneur who has made it his business to master every element of social media and online influencer marketing. Already an expert at his craft, Jordan has successfully launched three companies under the HighKey brand, all of which have reached six and seven figures in profit within their first couple of years.
Social media is a relatively new industry but offers plenty of promising opportunities for those who know how to navigate online platforms’ many facets. Jordan grew up in the era when people started making it big as YouTube stars and Instagram influencers, and now as Tik Tok celebrities.
He has always been absorbed by the mix of talent, speculation, and strategy that goes into becoming a major online persona, or even in the way vested celebrities use their social platforms to further their reach and cement their fans’ loyalty. “My business is largely influenced by many variables involving celebrities. In my line of work, it is extremely important to keep tabs on all celebrities, like who is trending and what trends are worth following,” Jordan explains.
However, Jordan’s first company relied on social media and influencer marketing to grow, but wasn’t technically marketing- or influencer-related. HighKey Technologies Inc., which was launched in 2016 when Jordan was 19 and still studying at the University of Winnipeg, is an e-commerce company. Jordan saw a golden opportunity arise in the drop-shipping sector, where he could fill a market gap by shipping consumer electronics to people. The company was soon thriving, making the decision to leave college at the time a sensible one for Jordan.
Knowing when to take an opportunity is something that Jordan prides himself on, as he feels his timing with all three of his businesses so far has been extremely well placed. HighKey Technology might not focus on his true passion—online marketing and influencer management—but it gave him the stepping stone to reach that goal. Each business taught him and his team essential skills and lessons that translated well when he was busy launching and growing the next one.
Because of this, Jordan doesn’t acknowledge his competition and doesn’t focus on what they’re doing, either, unlike what is widely considered general practice. He feels his success is compounded by him hyper-focusing on what he’s currently doing instead. Even so, Jordan says that the collection of high-quality services/products offered by HighKey are unmatched by any competitor currently on the market. This is why, after less than two years of operations, both HighKey Agency and HighKey Clout are already representing A-list celebrities and some of the highest level business people out there.
Right now, Jordan’s primary role at HighKey is to lead the brand’s marketing efforts. His relentless work ethic lends itself well to the needs of a new endeavor like HighKey Clout, which, because it revolves around the fast-paced arena of celebrity influencer management and high-profile giveaways, needs a lot of focused attention.
