Nell Fortner is a renowned name in the Women basketball world. And she is the head coach of the Georgia Tech Women basketball team.
In the “Women in the Game” conference held on October 12th-13th, Nell Fortner will be one of the speakers. And the conference is to be held at The Paideia School in Atlanta. Along with Nell there will be famous women from around the sports world. This is a wonderful opportunity for women in sports to put their word out and be seen and heard.
Nell Fortner is the perfect candidate to represent Georgia Tech in the conference. It is because she is a coach who led many women college teams to championships. And she has also coached in collegiate and professional and international levels.
Under her guidance, the United States national team won three international titles. And one of them includes the gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics. But to say she is the bringer of gold is an understatement. Not only does she coach college teams but also coaches the national team.
Along with Nell Fortner, Danielle Donehead will represent the Georgia Tech at the two day conference at Atlanta. She was a student-athlete for the Yellow Jackets from 1996-2001. Also she was the recipient numerous awards and accolades including the ACC Postgraduate Scholarship.
There will also be other reputable women in sports who will speak at the conference. One of them is Rebecca Greenwell. Who is the operations assistant of Atlanta Hawks and will represent them. She was also a two-time USA Basketball gold medalist. Along with her Ericka Hill, the director of player development Atlanta Hawks will also represent them.
Lauren Holtkamp (NBA official) and Nancy Lieberman (former assistant coach) will represent NBA. There will be other speakers like Mary McElroy, Corinne Milieu, Michele Robertsbridge, Kirsten “KK” Salmon Sen and Joni Taylor. Nell Fortner will make her speech on October 13th.
