Entrepreneur Lusene Donzo of Monrovia, Liberia, has a message he wants to send to the entire world. “You don’t have to be an Entrepreneur, but you have to be an investor in yourself,” he says. “I see so many debates on social media with the argument between which is better, employee vs. entrepreneurship, and it’s all BS, he adds. My occupation as both an entrepreneur and an employee have provided me with numerous advantages.
Recently in the past decade, with the increase of so many “Instagram Celebrities,” the message of going to a good school and getting a good job is no longer the primary narrative. As technology advances and the use of social media increases, we’re seeing many “overnight successes” and Guru’s encouraging you to quit your job to go all-in on your dream at their $30,000 seminars. Lusene believes that statistics speak for themselves; most businesses fail in the first 12 months, It indicates the likelihood of failing is very high as it pertains to operating a business, as it stands that the writing is clear on the wall. Lusene addresses that shouldn’t be a reason you don’t get started; he says starting his own business has been the most incredible personal development journey he could have embarked on. He wants to highlight that you can be a regular employee and still be an entrepreneur who owns real estate, stocks, clothing brands, digital companies or are a Joint Venture partner in other deals.
“Some people just legit don’t find running a business amusing, and that’s okay. Not everybody wants to hire and fire people; not everyone wants to deal with the anxiety of wondering how bills are going to get paid because your income is solely based on you, and the list goes on, but that shouldn’t stop people from understanding how to invest in your business or becoming as an entrepreneur. The digital entrepreneur is something I love to do, monetizing others on social media is something that comes to me naturally, and taking responsibility for helping others to become a success is something I take pride in doing as a leader,” Lusene explains.
If you ever had any interest in where you should start with digital marketing, he highly recommends everyone take advantage of creating a digital business.
Lusene has clarified that his mission is to educate people on financial literacy, help others discover their purpose, and start conversations about saving and investing regularly for those who feel lost and are unaware of how money works.
