Priscilla Vilchis became one of the leading entrepreneurs in the United States with her company Premium Produce, which was founded in 2013 to provide the healthcare system with medical programs that allow access to safe and effective cannabinoid products.
Latina businesswoman Priscilla Vilchis has made herself a reference point for women and minorities by earning a reputation as the most interesting female in the cannabis industry. She was the youngest and first-ever minority female CEO to be awarded licenses to cultivate and produce medical and retail (recreational) cannabis in Nevada.
This has generated important recognition for her in the United States, as she is regularly featured in major press publications including Bloomberg, Telemundo, Forbes, CNN Money and LA Weekly. Also, she has had the opportunity to be the face of the cover of Cannabis Business Times, and has starred in televised segments with CNN-HLN, NBC, CBS, Telemundo, and LATV’s ‘The Zoo’.
Vilchis established herself as an industry leader, which has allowed her to do other activities such as community outreach and education. She was a commencement speaker for the first-ever graduating class of the USC Iovine and Young Academy and participated at Teens Exploring Technology (TXT).
In her career, Vilchis has been noted for her great ability to create and grow multimillion-dollar businesses, as in the case of her company Premium Produce, whose 25,000-square-meter facility in Las Vegas, Nevada had an investment of US$ 11 million in its construction to have first class resources such as custom-made environmental control system, failsafe CO2 delivery system, reverse osmosis water filtration system, environmentally sustainable cultivation processes, and an in-house testing protocol.
This ability in business comes from her 20s, when she left her university studies to start her first business that quickly expanded to states across the country. Vilchis was a consultant for some of Southern California’s premier physicians, who asked for help to navigate regulations within the healthcare industry.
Currently, Priscilla Vilchis continues to dazzle with the management of her company Premium Produce, which she has been able to expand to Lynwood, California, where, as well as in Nevada, she became the only female to apply for and win a regulatory permit for cannabis cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and delivery.
In addition, her fame has grown due to her participation in social networks, where under the name “Hollyweed Queen” she has gained more than 500 thousand followers on Instagram.
Considering the life she has now, Priscilla Vilchis sees herself as a woman who can inspire other Latinas and other women to take risks to make their dreams come true and become leaders in various industries. For this reason, one of her brands carries the name “Reina”, which means queen in Spanish and represents the pride she has for her Latina roots.
