From a young age, Grant Lira was always convinced that no matter what direction he took in life, he was going to be able to achieve his full potential. He constantly bounced from dream to dream, seeing quickly that without focus on a specific topic, results would never come. He began to realize that one of the main reasons people aren’t successful is because they aren’t willing to stick to one goal and see it through. That is when he decided to make a change to himself.

He entered into a new venture, The Empathy Firm, with his brother Gavin Lira, and worked primarily on sales. Soon after, he was generating new deals that expanded the firm. This opened his eyes to the business world, and he loved it. He learned quickly that the best way to sell is to build a service that he was 100% sold on himself. At this point, he encouraged his brother to double down on their services to generate even better results for their clients. This is when everything took off.

After this decision, The Empathy Firm began scaling and has not looked back since. As for Grant Lira, he continues to further Empathy’s focus on client results and client acquisition. In fact, he and his brother coined a term that is now part of the agency’s three main pillars. The term is, “Client Delight”. Grant said, “When a client makes the decision to work with Empathy, we want them to feel really good about their decision. We know committing to a firm can be a big deal for some people. So part of our job is to make them feel delighted about their decision with consistent communication and great results”.

When asked what advice he has for other service-based businesses out there he said, “I’ll have to turn to what Warren Buffet once said on this one. If you find a way to consistently delight your clients, you’ll do great. No business that had thousands of delighted customers ever failed”. He also added, “Focus on sales because it is the life of a company, but make sure you make your clients lots of money so you can kindle lasting relationships. It’s always way easier to sell when someone already knows that you can get them great results”.

It’s safe to say that Grant Lira has a passion for acquiring new clients and making sure that they get great results when working with The Empathy Firm. He ended our interview with two very insightful pieces of advice. “Always have a vision to focus on, and never be afraid to do things differently”.
