The relation between the US and China have plunged due to their ongoing trade war, US sanctions on Chinese technology company Huawei as well as dispute on the South China Sea.
And now, the Education Ministry in China has issued a statement which says that a few students from China seeking education opportunities in the US recently had faced issues, with rise in visa refusal rate and duration of their via validity shortened. This move has affected the Chinese students from studying in the US or to smoothly finish their studies, the ministry added.
The ministry has further reminded the scholars as well as students to strengthen their risk assessments prior to studying internationally, improve their prevention awareness as well as make apt preparations.
US is concerned about intellectual and technology property theft from China which have been the major factor responsible for the increasing trade dispute between these two countries and the Trump’s administration also has raised scrutiny over foreign researchers and students.
Despite of the prevailing trade tensions, the American universities are open to cooperate and welcome the Chinese students, the state television said citing the ministry spokeswoman Xu Mei. The no. of Chinese students in the US previously was stable, the television cited Xu while saying.
