Dubai Tourism has collaborated with UAE embassy in Nigeria and Dubai based partners including Expo 2020. The agenda behind the collaboration is to showcase Dubai at Akwaaba African Travel Market. Dubai is continuously investing in such innovative campaigns to attract more number of tourists. The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing of Dubai reported an amazing trend in tourism volumes from Nigeria.
Dubai has witnessed more than 113,000 overnight visitors from Nigeria in the first seven months of 2019. There is an impressive double-digit growth in the tourists from Nigeria and it is growing by 28 percent every year. Dubai has made its position as the emirate’s 17th largest source market.
The city has many reasons to attract tourists from around the world and consistent innovative campaigns such as ongoing strategic trade partnerships, bespoke integrated marketing campaigns, and social media activation are benefiting a lot. Dubai has shown its support at the Akwaaba African Travel Market for the fourth consecutive year.
It includes a strong delegation of 21 Dubai based partners. Dubai Tourism is representing itself as a model case study for tourism to the African travel market. It is also focusing on the overall marketing activities such as training workshops and trade activities.
