Colton Graves has earned his stripes as a countryman. In his youth, Colton worked on his families’ ranch as a full-time gig. He used to travel to the Sacramento/Tahoe of California to play shows whenever he could. He says some of his biggest inspiration for writing music comes from other songs he is listening to at the moment.
Colton decided to pursue his music career after his best friend fully, Bryce passed away a few years ago. “I figured I would try hard in music for the both of us since he was always there when I was writing my music and would give me his professional opinions haha” said Colton.
Colton recently signed a recording deal with Extreme Music/Sony ATV. He says his main focus with his craft is to make people feel like they are in the country when jamming to his songs. When we asked Colton what he wanted his audience to take away from his music, he said, “I just want them to get that “out in the country” feeling I get when I listen to country”.
Colton Graves recently released a 4 track EP called “Smile For Me” which captures a picture of the life he’s been living. Colton’s twangy vocals and beautiful instrumentals make the project an easy 15 minute listen with repeat value.
Colton’s normal day consists of “writing music and drinking tequila.” He also usually gives his pug George a bath.
