The Italian coach possesses an extensive experience of over two decades. Throughout his profession, he was part of several winning teams in various regions and has even won four championships within the first ten years of his career. In 2010, he started traveling worldwide to coach numerous teams, including Albany in the United States, Kagoshima in Japan, and Guizhou in China.
Aside from his passion for his craft, what makes Silvio such an effective coach is his profound knowledge and understanding of the sport. “I am unique because my open skills in football and futsal have allowed me to experience high-intensity cognitive workouts that lead to simply extraordinary results. Players who start from an early age with this methodology have significantly better results,” he insightfully shared.
The esteemed professional added, “Now we can confirm this because we have been experimenting with this for more than ten years in some academies around the world, and the results are really amazing. These are cognitive training where they practice real game situations with workouts that increase in difficulty each time the kids master the exercise. They are training where there is a goal, but they are open development and, therefore, uncertain. This results in continuous stress for the boy who has to reason continuously by finding the optimal path.”
As a testament to his remarkable prowess, the futsal and football coach has led many teams to victory. In fact, he is the assistant coach of the national Under 18 National Norway Football Team, which won the 2021 Nordic Cup. This outstanding feat has helped him become the first coach to win the Nordic Cup and the only coach to win back-to-back in the elite round qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup.
Aside from that, he shared his incredible wisdom for the sport by publishing his first book in January 2018 called Il Rettangolo Dei Sogni, which in English translates to “The Pitch of Dreams.” Proudly explaining what the publication was about, the visionary said, “They are tales of true stories, lived in my world soccer experience. The exciting part comes from the fact that they are stories told from the eyes of children.”
