Amazon has recently brought a change in its terms of service for third-party sellers. The change was made to solve a problem that was irritating the world’s largest eCommerce firm. For settling the change in the terms of service, the company reached to German Antitrust authorities on its marketplace policies. Now Amazon is giving a 30-days notice to sellers who are facing suspensions. And the company is also providing specific reasons to those who are blocked under the issues of legal breaches. Earlier, Amazon had the authority to terminate seller account at any time without any justification. But this change will now prohibit the company from doing so.
The old version of terms of service says, “We may terminate or suspend this Agreement or any Service for any reason at any time by notice to you.”
And the new version of terms of service says, “We may terminate your use of any Services or terminate this Agreement for convenience with 30 days’ advance notice. We may suspend or terminate your use of any Services immediately if we determine that you have materially breached the Agreement and failed to cure within 7 days of a cure notice unless your breach exposes us to liability toward a third party, in which case we are entitled to reduce, or waive, the aforementioned cure period at our reasonable discretion.”
Although Amazon is doing a tremendous business, it is struggling with some sellers’ functional issues like Amazon suspension, seller performance, policy violation, appeals, and Amazon rights owner complaint.
