Born and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Geno is an 18 year old businessman who has created success not only for himself but has also helped his network of individuals rise to the top of the entrepreneurial world with him. According to Geno, digital entrepreneurship is the way of the future, and he’s with us today to share his journey navigating the ups and downs of building a business, and his best advice for anyone wishing to get ahead in the digital age.
Geno, let’s start at the beginning of your journey. What first inspired you to become an entrepreneur?
My inspiration to become an entrepreneur came around two years ago when I was 16 years old. Growing up I was always watching YouTube videos and I’ve seen people that were successful entrepreneurs with grand lifestyles. I never knew that specifically forex trading was what would get me where I wanted to be, but I definitely knew that entrepreneurship was my path to the financial and time freedom that I wanted.
That’s very interesting. Tell us about the business that you have today. What is the concept?
So with the digital age and this new era that we’re living in where everything is done online, especially since the global pandemic, the new generation has shifted its focus to digital means to earn an income. My business is about using network marketing to help individuals adapt, understand, and apply this idea of digital entrepreneurship to become comfortable and successful in this new age.
It’s amazing that your business is centered around helping others succeed in digital entrepreneurship! How else does your business help those involved?
We provide people with access to a platform that shares the tools and resources that can help them to create additional sources of income for themselves. We also direct them with mentorship that helps them better themselves. It’s not just about making money, but it’s also about becoming better on a mental level. We’re helping people to see the bigger picture and understand that there’s more to life than just working a 9-5 job. We show people that they can dream bigger by gaining access to a network of successful individuals who have achieved their biggest goals, which helps people to really open their mind to the opportunities available to them. At a young age we have a big and bright vision for our future but as we grow older, that vision becomes smaller and more narrow. Being involved with this business helps to not only restore that vision we had as kids, but helps to bring it to reality.
You are truly helping to bring about the entrepreneurial spirit in others, Geno! What do you have planned for the future? What goals do you hope to accomplish?
My goal personally is not to accumulate a lot of money, but to accumulate a group of people that are just willing to always put forth the extra effort for others. I want to build a group of 10 people, a network that I call Breadwinners. This is a group of people in a family-like culture, striving towards a common goal, which is helping others to expand their sources of income, whether it be trading forex, starting a business, starting a clothing brand, whatever it may be that makes them happy and propels them towards success. The ultimate goal of Breadwinners is to help others succeed by achieving their goals one by one.
Getting to this level of success in business must have been difficult. What kind of challenges and adversity did you face getting here?
I grew up with a single mother. So for me, growing up and dealing with a lot of emotions or situations that come at different ages was difficult because I didn’t really have someone to talk to about it since I was the man of the house. I was always expected to be the top dog and be good at certain things like sports. So I had to grow up fast which made me very independent and I leveraged everything I learned from my mother.
Growing up, I looked at things differently than others. I didn’t want to be the oddball but I always wanted something different and did not follow what others did. A lot of times I was told what you’re doing in this classroom was what the whole class is going to do, if you act up in class, the whole class is going to act up; so the light was always on me, the pressure was always on me. This was something I had to adapt to growing up and now I have to use it in a good way. Being so young I wasn’t ready for it, but now even at 18 I’m still very young but I’m a lot more ready and able to adapt better to this responsibility. It’s the same thing with the business.
Thank you for sharing your story, Geno. In closing, please share your best advice for an aspiring entrepreneur.
Definitely, I can give you three of my best tips:
- Always be yourself. A lot of people try to shape themselves into someone else. With entrepreneurship it’s definitely important to take certain habits or teachings from other entrepreneurs and apply them to yourself, but even after that, who you are inside will still remain. It’s about being yourself while striving to become the greatest possible version of yourself which can change everyday. Becoming a better person doesn’t mean changing who you are.
- Stay coachable. No matter how much success you have, no matter how much money you touch, always remain coachable. There is always someone out there with more experience than you, that has done something longer than you, and knows a little bit more than you. There’s never, ever too much information you can acquire and there’s always room for improvement, so keep learning.
- Always be willing to share information. As you take in information, teaching others what you’ve learned will not only help you to retain that information but you’re also helping someone else become better. People learn in different ways, they may not understand the information as quickly or may find it harder to understand, so by teaching others, you’re also creating a simpler way to explain the information.
