“Early to bed and early to rise” is not just a saying, but a routine to live a healthy, happy and prosperous life. It is a trait that every successful person follows in their life. Eylin Pérez, a yoga instructor and a student has been following this practice for years now. And guess what? She has got better control over her thoughts and her life. The yoga teacher is currently based in Doha but has her roots in Lima, Peru. She believes that humans have the steering of controlling life better than anybody else.
With yoga and meditation, Eylin has not just improved the sleep patterns and overall health, but also the lifestyle. “The journey begins with you, and within you. It is all about taking small steps to make a big difference in life. I truly feel practising yoga has no age limit”, quotes Eylin. While her first yoga workshop was in 2001, the yoga instructor calls it the most peaceful session she ever had. She aimed to get into the field of medicine or become a chef, but being a yoga teacher was a special surprise destiny had in the store for her.
In the initial stage of her life as a yoga student, Eylin Pérez revealed that doing asanas was not easy because of body flexibility. With time, and with constant practice, she mastered herself like a pro. Speaking about the positive life long impact of yoga and meditation, Eylin Pérez said, “The quest to find inner peace begun with constant practice. The pain incurred initially while doing asanas only redirected me towards growth on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. The habit of going to bed early and waking up early with a grateful heart is a result of the consistent practice that I have been doing over the years.”
Additionally, Pérez stated that waking up early and practising yoga and meditation keeps one energized throughout the day. “You get a lot of time for yourself when you wake up early in the morning. Besides spending time with yourself, you can plan your day accordingly when you get habituated to rising with the sun”, added Eylin. After years of practice, Eylin gave a shot to become a yoga teacher in 2015 when she attended the first teacher train program. However, that time was a challenging phase in her life as she underwent two surgeries after suffering from endometriosis.
In 2017, Eylin had to undergo an ankle surgery that made her bedridden. The only calm she found during this time was with meditation. Her willpower and courage saw the yoga instructor defeat the health problems, and she got back to yoga and meditation training soon. Since then, Eylin has attended several workshops on yoga and meditation in different countries of the world including India, Netherlands, France, Bali, the USA and Nepal. Her journey of inner peace is indeed one motivating life story, and she is inspiring many people to get on this path of positivity and prosperity.
