Tsunari is an emerging face in the Thai Hip-Hop scene, and is already showing great promise. With the help of Hot Money Studios, Tsunari has created and released two singles in 2020, both of which display immense potential and clear talent. Her work has even been added to the Spotify-curated playlist New Era: Asian Hip-Hop with her track “Mula”. Tsunari has also just recently dropped a professionally done music video for the song.
This success is coming even after a name change from “Sunaree” to the current “Tsunari”. The name change represents new beginnings for Tsunari, and she has been putting in hard work to bring herself to a whole new level. Starting music seriously at just 13-years-old, Tsunari grew up shy but always knew she’d be a singer one day. Now, she is getting the chance and a platform to share her story and chase her dreams.
Tsunari comes from a diverse background, being half Thai and half Trinidaddian, and having lived in several different countries during her lifetime. Growing up in Thailand as a mixed-race girl lead to some bullying and discrimination, but she is using her past experiences to fuel the flame she has lit with her music. She hopes to inspire and impact other young people who feel like they don’t fit in. Her new music project, set to drop “really soon”, is said to be a stark example of this, as her aim is to inspire and give back to the young Thai community.
