Hailed as one of the most prodigious industries, the reality entertainment scene is brimming with talented individuals and exceptional figures. Through their outstanding performances, remarkable outputs, and creative endeavors, these people have made a significant impact on the world. Taking heed of the latter’s efforts, The Reality Television Awards (ARTAS) stands as an esteemed and prestigious platform where exceptional individuals can get the recognition and acclaim they deserve.
Since 2013, The American Reality Television Awards has awarded laudable individuals in front and behind the cameras from all areas in the world of unscripted and non-fiction reality television. Among the eligible candidates are networks, cable and streaming shows, and their stars both in-front and behind the cameras. With an average of 2,000,000 votes in all categories, public voting is made available worldwide. Moreover, the 8th Annual American Reality Television Awards will take place in the Spring (or Summer) or March of 2021.
Widely acknowledged for being a beacon of eminence and greatness, The American Reality Television Awards is grounded on supporting, examining, and redefining the art of reality in media. On a mission to revolutionize and transform views, ARTAS rewards excellence, encourages experimentation, and recognizes that the public is the heart of the industry.
As one of the foremost advocates of connecting people and bridging gaps, The American Reality Television Awards embraces the spirit of fun and camaraderie. It believes that these two elements form an inherent part of what makes this entertainment realm great. ARTAS continues to value the rich diversity of programming that integrates reality in media and places it on the leading edge of the industry.
With no plans of slowing down , The American Reality Television Awards strives to constantly expand and change. In line with this, it started a Humanitarian Award that eventually birthed the Reality TV Hall of Fame. The latter’s inductees include Heidi and Spencer Pratt in 2015 and Janice Dickinson in 2016. It has even re-birthed the Hall of Fame recipient in 2021, who will be named soon.
The roaring success of The American Reality Television Awards is attributed to Executive Producers Kristen Moss and Andrew Ward, who started the program in 2012. “According to The Hollywood Reporter, in 2019, more than 75% of cable TV’s 25 highest-rated original series were Non-Fiction shows. We’re excited to give our industry something to celebrate during these uncertain times,” said Moss and Ward.
In the coming years, The American Reality Television Awards hopes to establish itself as the premier awards show for Reality Television. It also wishes to be deemed as an annual live event broadcast on a major, cable, or streaming network. With the number of accolades it has garnered over the past years, the ARTAS aims to serve as an avenue where the industry can unite with the goal of learning, growing, and fostering the Reality TV community together.
The American Reality Television Awards also envisions itself offering snapshots and giving a glimpse into the journeys of those people who lead meaningful and purposeful lives. Above all else, ARTAS continues to honor those who live, tell, and shape striking stories that have the ability to bring the world closer each year.
