The word sports alone is enough to conjure an image of celebration, yelling at the TV, tears of victory and loss, and steady handshakes between former opponents. For years, the field has been of great interest to enthusiasts who have eagerly collected items connected to their favorite athletes.

The leading name in the sports card and memorabilia industry for more than twenty years, Jason Koonce of One Team International Agency (OTIA) Sports is widely regarded as the “go-to” person for sought-after sports artifacts.

“I have been working in the sports card industry since 1990,” he recalls, “[I have been] in possession of the rarest cards and made countless connections with collectors and dealers alike.”

Jason Koonce’s rise to the top began when he took on card collecting as a hobby. As he got older and grew his stash, he began to realize that his pastime was a real money-making opportunity. He then discovered sports card shows.

From that point on, everything was a blur of quick trades and success. As Jason bought and sold cards left and right, he became significantly profitable in his late teens and often rubbed elbows with some of the industry’s greats.

“Those connections allowed me to expand my business further and do public and private signings with athletes.” Jason Koonce was then known as the go-to guy for rare cards, memorabilia pieces, or a legitimate connection to a celebrity or athlete. “I almost always know where and how to acquire it and who to talk to in order to track it down.”

Building an exceptional reputation for delivery within only forty-eight hours, Jason decided to expand and formalize his presence in the business. So he started One Team International Agency (OTIA) Sports.

“Sports are our lives, so you will regularly find us chasing major sporting events in every state,” Jason Koonce shares of his team. “Traveling all over the world for shows and events helped to create the relationships with dealers, athletes, and agents that we have today.”

Over time, OTIA’s network grew to embrace influential actors, musicians, Fortune 500 CEOs, and celebrities all over North America. Bringing in unrivaled expertise and professionalism in spades, Jason’s OTIA Sports has dominated the industry for several years now.

OTIA Sports continues to stay on top through the passing years, evolving with the times and employing unique strategies to remain relevant. From heading to the post office for transactions, Jason Koonce and the lauded OTIA family are now securing trades and growing their satisfied clientele online.

With six- and seven-figure requests weekly, the dedicated collector and suave businessman is widening his focus. Outside of pushing the card market, Jason is now interested in educating individuals on investing in the card market. His solid presence on social media channels helped secure an enthusiastic audience for his discussions.

To his students, he says, “Look for the rarity and take a chance on players that you think will blow up.” Some investments are safer than others, but success is nothing if not a risk-laden path.

Walk in Jason Koonce’s footsteps and let him point the path of an industry leader. Learn more about the sports card and memorabilia expert and his dynamic company, One Team International Agency (OTIA) Sports, on Instagram and its official website.
