Model, Video Vixen, Restaurant Owner, Financial Literacy Coach, Writer, Body-Positive Influencer, Speaker, Millionaire—these are just a few of the titles Nerissa Reaves, aka Professor Honey, has added to her book of business. Known for her startling good looks and idyllic childhood in Japan, she is taking her credit and funding business to the next level and living unabashedly out loud.
With a Bachelor of Arts at Spelman College and a Master of Science from the University of New Haven, Reaves is well accomplished. She has also been awarded, celebrated, and acknowledged in a myriad of other ways, including as an alumnus of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses.
“My life’s trajectory was never meant to be a straight line,” mused Reaves. “I’ve taken every element that touched my soul, infusing it into making a difference in my community and beyond.
Reaves’ father taught her the importance of seeking out education and information, and to keep her credit strong to set her up for future success.
“My father’s work ethic ingrained in me that I could be whomever I wanted to be—if I was dedicated to success,” she explained. “My father gave me a solid education—at the best schools—to prepare me for a life dedicated to serving others and creating wealth.”
Her mother has also played a huge role in her success, as her cheerleader and rock. She attributes a lot of her success later on in life to the support from her mother.
Life-Changing Experiences
Spending a portion of her childhood in Japan to study, these experiences opened her mind to the important conversations and different ways cultures spoke about money. She took these invaluable learnings to the United States, integrating each piece into her work as a model, influencer, restauranter, and literacy coach.
When Reaves’ moved home to America, it was important to her that she gave back to communities in need, as she has always been self-aware of how fortunate she had been to receive the education and garnered experiences. She has also remained dedicated to taking part in a number of humanitarian projects in New Orleans, La., many following Hurricane Katrina.
New Beginnings, New Business
Knowing financial literacy is the key to success, Reaves’ next project was one that was reflective of her love for teaching and helping others. As the founder of the ‘Credit and Funding Hive’, she is helping thousands of people achieve optimal credit scores and get the funding they need to build their businesses and establish opportunities for passive income.
“There’s nothing like sitting or standing before a room of people, or even a single person at a table with me,” said Reaves. “And the excitement that’s in the air—knowing their entire life is about to change.”
What’s next for this self-made millionaire? Reaves is determined to move her business to the next level, passionately educating about financial literacy—creating a well-oiled machine of money education, management, and investing.
“So many individuals don’t realize just how important a credit score really is,” explained Reaves. “I often teach that an 800 credit score is worth $100k in buying power, which could change the lives of millions of people.”
Building Her Community
Looking for team members, Reaves is also currently seeking other professionals as passionate and outspoken as she is to better serve communities. From food to building a life of wealth, she has masterfully infused her calling into what’s paying bills, making this millionaire one to watch.
“I’m actively recruiting others just like me, every single day,” stated Reaves. “Together, we can offer our communities and nation a way out of debt and loss and a step into prosperity.”
Unapologetic as she is on social media, Reaves is intent on changing the way Americans look at and value money, illustrating, “I came to this earth to live in a way that inspires others. My care and love are authentic for the people I meet and the business I’m building; I’m convinced if others lived passionate lives, we’d all be lights instead of darkness.”
If Reaves’ dedication to her success is any indication of her bright future ahead, it’s safe to say that, This girl is on fire.
