We can all agree that some opportunities only come around once in a lifetime. But instead of waiting for those opportunities to be presented to us on a silver platter, how can we create success for ourselves on our own terms? Meet Jeidy Rocha, a 19 year old entrepreneur who leveraged the limitations she experienced growing up, to achieve success. The recipe? Cultivating an impulse to face obstacles and the drive to achieve what others though wasn’t possible.
A native of Philadelphia, Jeidy grew up in the Bronx. Growing up and completing her schooling in an impoverished neighbourhood, and staying positive amid a difficult environment was truly an uphill battle for Jeidy. When discussing her time in highschool and staying determined in the face of negative influence, Jeidy says:
“I realized a huge amount of personal growth when I was able to complete my highschool education and stay focused on my goals. Being in a certain environment it can be difficult not to be influenced negatively or fall into the wrong crowds.”
Being exposed all her life to the traditions of completing higher education in order to secure a job, encouraged Jeidy to enroll in college at the New York City College of Technology located in Brooklyn, majoring in radiology tech and medical imaging.
A few months into her college education, Jeidy discovered a new venture that would open doors to financial independence that she previously thought were unavailable to her.
“I always knew I wanted to help people who were struggling financially and when I found this opportunity I knew it was a way out not only for me but my family, our generation and those that are to come,” says Jeidy.
It was network marketing that allowed Jeidy to break free from tradition and explore an entire new realm of possibilities to achieve success without the 9-5 job or a college education. Although these new ideas were some she was unaccustomed to, Jeidy grabbed the bull by the horns and worked tirelessly to create and build a business from the ground up, that she calls “Upscale Society”.
To date, only 6 months since she started Upscale Society, Jeidy has impacted hundreds of people and has expanded from New York City to New Jersey. Jeidy educates the masses on means to gain additional streams of income to ultimately achieve financial freedom.
Though she has punched her ticket to the elite class of successful entrepreneurs, Jeidy works hard to help others achieve the same results. She strives to educate as many people as possible on the opportunities that are available to us, that may be outside of the norm but are just as effective in helping us to achieve our end goals. Upscale Society allows anyone no matter who they are or where they’re from to get out of difficult financial situations on the right side, proving that you do not need certain qualifications like a college degree in order to gain success or results.
Jeidy understands that a huge part of the reason we may find ourselves stuck in a difficult situation, is because we may not have the information necessary to help ourselves get out of it. Through Upscale Society, Jeidy focuses on mentorship, teaching others how they too can build their own businesses and break free from negative environments or life circumstances that may have been holding them back from achieving their goals and actualizing their dreams.
When discussing how she was able to leave a difficult childhood behind to become a successful businesswoman, Jeidy says:
“One of the most important lessons I’ve learned from my journey to entrepreneurship is that you will be tested and it’s up to you to stay on track. God gave you a vision for a reason, nobody else can see it but you!”
Jeidy is truly leading by example on how we can all change our situation if we are determined and strong-willed and truly believe that we can achieve any goal that we set our minds upon. We would all do well to remember her words when we come across adversity or feel like giving up:
“Have a clear vision and stay focused on the end goal. Obstacles will come your way but everything that happens on your journey, happens for you and not to you.”
