Nafsika is the executive producer of the television series, Plant-Based by Nafsika, as well as the CEO of the international vegan food brand, Nafsika’s Garden. Nafsika’s mission is to educate everyone about living a healthier life
Having an amazing educational experience paved the way for Nafsika to accomplish bigger goals in life. So, she chose a pragmatist career to become an entrepreneur and a philanthropist to influence people’s lives, allowing individuals, and the community to switch to a better and healthy lifestyle. The successful career of Nafsika began as a marketing director at Pilaros International Trading Inc. The organization was a renowned Mediterranean food importing company in Canada, the USA, and Australia, owned by her father. This food organization helped her to study olive oil and the Mediterranean diet in Greece, which she soon realized is almost entirely plant-based. Consequently, working in her father’s company set a stepping stone for Nafsika to reach her passions.
Is it hard to become vegan?
Nafsika emerging as a prominent plant-based food lover, began working to break the stigma and misconceptions that were prevailing in the minds of people that created hurdles to a shift away from carnism to veganism. To inspire the millions, Nafsika initiated to bring a radical change in her lifestyle.
“It was eight years back, I was looking for something to watch on Netflix and came across a documentary called “Vegucated.” It was the name that fascinated me. I always like to keep an open mind, so of course, I proceeded to watch it. I never knew that this little documentary would soon change my life forever.”
Watching this documentary opened her eyes to the cruel animal industry. Being a compassionate person, she strongly condemned the cruel acts on animals and became a vegan food advocate. She no longer wished to contribute to it so she switched to a vegan lifestyle overnight. Since then, she never looked back and became a full-fledged vegan. Nafsika passionately worked towards enriching people’s lives, helping them to adopt healthy food choices.
“I researched and looked for information about an all plant-based lifestyle when I came across some YouTube channels that promoted vegan cooking. I found countless vegan recipes online. I planned out what my family and I would be eating that week and that was that. My kids have been vegan all their lives as well.”
People Against Violence: Promoting Peace and Providing Support
Nafsika aspired to create an awareness in the community to help victims of violence. She decided to take appropriate steps to start a movement to inspire millions across the globe. It was in the year, 2014, she founded a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, known as People Against Violence. The organization was established in Canada and the U.S. to prevent violence and assist victims worldwide. Through this organization, Nafsika aims to bring awareness to domestic violence and provide resources to help victims around the clock with their 24/7 Crisis Help-line.
With the assistance and guidance of certified counsellors at People against Violence, people learn to deal with issues involving violence. The organization helped people to develop love and compassion for others. These two innate qualities will help to create a more peaceful society. Nafsika also believes that once people establish their bond with animals, they would find themselves in a new world. In her opinion, this will help further create a peaceful vegan society, motivating people to live more compassionately.
“My goal has always been to help make the world a more compassionate place. To do that, I believe that I need to help the world go vegan.”
uAlert Personal Safety App: uAlert, weProtect!
To prevent violence and assist victims worldwide, Nafsika launched a free mobile app called, uAlert. This is a wonderful personal safety app that has been designed to offer the fastest response to the victim of violence by notifying friends and family, the center, and the local police while sending a recording to the uAlert Center at the same time. Certified counselors and mentors through a 24-hour hotline service offer guidance to people on how they can safeguard their lives against violent acts. Additional personal security services are available upon request and at extra cost.
Plant-Based by Nafsika: If You Plant It, It Will Grow
In the fall of 2015, Nafsika Antypas came up with the concept for a show that brought a vegan lifestyle show to mainstream television. She hired a production company and within six months, “Plant-Based by Nafsika” was airing weekly on the A&E Network. Plant-Based by Nafsika was the first vegan lifestyle series ever to hit mainstream television, reaching 70 million households across America. It brought together vegan experts covering different faces of cruelty-free lifestyle – food, nutrition, wellness, relationships, science, and fashion. Nafsika’s goal for the program was to revolutionize people’s thinking and educate them about the benefits of adopting a healthier and more compassionate lifestyle.
“I was a fairly new vegan and wished there were a vegan show that could help someone like me transition to this new lifestyle. I couldn ‘t find one. So I made a show!”
With the drive to help people understand sustainability and veganism, the first vegan lifestyle series help to create an eco-friendly “green” world. Nafsika knew that many people show real dependency on animal products and believe they are unable to avoid using animal products. Nafsika understood this and decided to take a strong initiative by spreading veganism that reach a broader audience. She found TV as a perfect medium and started airing her show with experts to create a sustainable vegan society.
The program helped people to change their food habits and learn to consume items that cause minimal harm to the environment. Moreover, this program help to seek connections with other eco-friendly people, communities, and businesses and build a network and a support system to support the masses to lead a sustainable life. “It was important for me to make it easy for people to learn about veganism. Every segment of my show teaches me something new every day. I get to interview experts, gain their opinions, and learn cool tips and hacks. I invite chefs to make simple and easy vegan recipes, which is great because I love to eat!”
Life Coaching of Nafsika Antypas created awareness of the global vegan diet
Nafsika became a certified health and lifestyle coach to further help accomplish her vision of transforming the vegan landscape. Her plant-based coaching comprises a program called ‘The Plant-Based Switch,’ which provides a platform for people to understand the benefits of adopting a healthy lifestyle. Nafsika’s Garden: There’s a New “Cheese” in Town (or the World)
Nafsika, the President/CEO of global food brand, Nafsika’s Garden promoted a dairy-free lifestyle with a plant-based alternative. She launched her product line, the hottest new vegan “cheese” in town and it hit the mainstream markets. The product was launched across Canada to major retailers such as Walmart and Sobeys and across the US by 2020. The product was founded with one simple goal to help people who thought they could never live without cheese to go dairy-free. The product line helped the consumers to understand what exactly a plant-based diet is and why they should prefer a plant-based diet to animal food. As people began using Nafsika’s Garden, they learned that a healthy sustainable diet brings positive effects on health. Less intake of animal meat automatically reduces cholesterol levels and saturated fats. The product launch was really rewarding since it helped millions of vegan food lovers to switch toward a plant-based lifestyle. Today, Nafsika’s Garden has expanded to additional dairy-free products, all of which are free from dairy, gluten, nuts and soy. They are also cholesterol and palm-oil free, making it not only a healthier choice, but a more sustainable one.
