Pain is a concept that many people are familiar with but haven’t quite grasped what they can do with the experience. Alfonso A. Matos has been through pain and figured out different ways a person can come out of pain. In his words, “Pain is part of life, and sometimes it comes with suffering which leaves us displeased, sad and unhappy. However, with a little bit of understanding, that pain can turn a person into a well-rounded, willing and strong person primed for success.”
Despite working as a gang and military expert and consultant, Alfonso A. Matos started his journey from screenwriting. He honed his artistic talents at the Dominican Republic School of Arts, and from there, he served in the military and now law enforcement. He’s a first-hand witness of injustice, racism and national issues. The culmination of everything he has experienced professionally and personally motivated him to write the novel titled “Pain.” He’s also a well-respected citizen in the District of Columbia and Maryland, Virginia, DC, where his law enforcement work has been lauded. He’s well-known for his honor of the rule of law and his relentless pursuit of peace, justice and a sense of responsibility. All of these have made Alfonso A. Matos an easy sell to the people, and he holds high hopes that once the book hits the shelves on June 20th, it will be sold out in no time.
“Pain” is currently available for pre-order and will go on sale in bookstores and other online platforms like Amazon on June 20th. This is his first book, and Alfonso promises it to be thrilling, exciting and educative. He announced the book in an Instagram post where he described the book to leave the reader wanting more. He captures his life story and his experiences in the book, hoping readers can relate to his story. Alfonso’s goal is to create a positive culture so that everyone can live together in harmony regardless of background, race or tribe. “I want to uplift people worldwide by “demonstrating a love that binds.” I want to connect with different groups and dismantle the inefficient machinations of tribalism, especially in the USA,” Matos says.
Alfonso Matos has other books in the works, all based on the premise of the upcoming book, “Pain.” Many of those books have already been completed; so, Alfonso is just biding his time to release them one after the other. He has high hopes for his career in arts and media, and his more than 11 appearances on national TV and films give him all the right feelings about his new path. He wants to get into movies and become a big movie star in the next five years.
Making a switch from law enforcement to television is not new to Hollywood. Alfonso A. Matos believes he can get at least ten A-list movies under his belt in five years.
