Herbert Welch has defied the odds attached to coming from a small town and is looking at taking things beyond that. Growing up in a town like Mount Dora, Florida, came with its challenges for someone like Herbert Welch, who wanted to hit the limelight as a musician. Opportunities were non-existent, and he was forced to forge his own path to success. He got into music early as a child by singing in church and performing at public venues, theatres, and restaurants.
His music career kicked off from there, and he decided to pursue music professionally. He had the ability to command attention from his audience, which helped him connect with various companies and studios that took him all over the world. Herbert spent time doing background vocals for different musical projects for different artists, and that broadened his horizon. He never looked back as he focused on stepping out of his comfort zone and making it big in the music industry.
He has spent many years working hard to prove to the world that he will never be a small-town person or end up being an underachiever because of where he comes from. He strongly believes that anybody can live the life they want if they can dream about it and put in the required work. Herbert is also passionate about young people having confidence in their abilities. When he was 16, he started a modeling program named Welch modeling, which gave children and young adults a platform to build their confidence and learn the basics of runway and print modeling. He was able to help many young people at the time while also boosting his confidence.
Herbert Welch’s goal is to get himself to the next level, where he can help as many people reach their peak. In his words, “In five years, I’ll be making it in the music industry while also serving as a motivational speaker and mentor. It takes a village to develop a child, and I am passionate about helping young people reach their potentials. I want Herbert Welch to be remembered as that person who always wanted to help the next person.
Herbert Welch has overcome numerous odds, but not once has he given up, and that is the message he is passing on to anyone following his journey. “I want people to believe that they can do it too. If I can turn things around for myself, anyone can do the same, too, if they set their mind to it. You only have to believe in yourself, be strong, and you will soar,” he says.
Today, all he focuses on is his music, as the world today benefits immensely from music. “Music has served as a vehicle that conveys the mind and soul to where the body cannot. One simple beat or line might be all it takes to get a person out of a terrible mood. I have noticed that music is one of the ways that everyone around the world connects strongly, and I want to be a part of that.” Herbert credits his early influences to artists like Rod Wave, John Legend, and TI, and he hopes to make music that can reach all and sundry globally.
